Going to Nespresso Boutique San Francisco is always a treat for me. My life would never be the same without this coffee shop on Stockton in San Francisco. Staff is great (sense of humor including), coffee pods are awesome. Mr. George Clooney's portrait on the wall - huge 😉 What else can I ask for? Thank you, Nespresso ☕

Two Stars [Rude Employee]:
Summary: A staff member in training did not let me ask a simple question or let him know what I needed assistance for; instead instantly refusing to serve me and not directing me to another staff member who I could go to for assistance.

I only go to the shop on occasion to pick up online orders. On most of my previous visits the store is quiet and a staff member usually helps me fairly quick and are usually nice. However, today I had a bit of an off experience. I was picking up an online order in-store, as per usual, but it was much busier in the store than before. I nicely tried to approach a worker who had just finished with another customer to ask who I could pick up my order from, but before I could ask him my question he cut me off mid sentence. I don’t know if there was some sort of store event going on, or if this was just a busy day protocol, but he told me that he had a waiting list of people to attend to and since I did not check in to this waiting list (and did not know I had to) that he could not assist me. He didn’t direct me to anyone else who could help me and basically proceeded to ignore me to assist *his next customer*. A lady who saw me standing confused graciously helped me get my pick-up order, but this staff member who was “In Training” according to his tag really left me with a sour experience.

Terrible service. The check in person didn’t know anything and we were just asked to step away from the counter.

This morning, I experienced the most horrifying and insulting retail encounter at this Nespresso store in SF’s Union Square. I waited 20 minutes without acknowledgment. When a staff finally approached, he commented on seeing me in the store many times previously (?? this was my first vist)—and then refused to service me. After the barista finally began helping me, the manager interrupted, questioning if I’d paid for my coffee (which I did!), and stated that complementary coffee tasting was not entitled to add milk (his exact words)! I came in today to BUY a simple cup of coffee, not to be accused and insulted repeatedly by the store staff and manager! I feel that even during the most turbulent days of the Civil Rights era in the Deep South, I would have received more respect and courtesy at any local coffee shop. I am embarrassed that such behavior and company culture still exist in San Francisco’s Union Square in 2024!

The lady name KALLEY is very rude. I was trying to figure it out what I want but she kept screaming “ what bring you today with fun face and scrolling me with big eyes.

Nespresso sleeves are the same price in the store as online. They included some free samples though

Machine complexly died after just over a year of use. Company acknowledged it was no-fault of my own, but refused to fix it. Told me to just buy a new one. Then went on to hang up on me, pass me around to no end and just leave me on hold when I called back multiple times to make sure I heard them right. Don’t waste your money. Do not buy a machine from this company. It’s garbage and the support is somehow even worse

Beautiful space but wildly inefficient. Main issue is that they make no distinction between people picking up and people who need help learning about machines and types of coffee. I'm sure it's nice for learning about nespresso machines and flavors, but was a bit frustrating to stand in line for 10 minutes to pick up a prepaid online order. Staff seem nice though.

This review is for AJ. He was a delight to deal with and was eager to offer some of his favorite coffee selections. I generally always order on-line. Had I not visited I wouldn't have received the personalized service that AJ provided.

The staff tries they really do, but especially compared to the actual boutique that used to be downtown this store, and it’s really barely a storefront, has all the grace of the DMV. Excellent coffee too bad such a low investment in the buying experience here.
