Takeout lunch was unappetizing, portion was small, pricing was wonky I think I was overcharged
As someone of Asian background who eats Chinese food regularly, I can’t help but question many of the positive reviews here.
Speaking of the crispy noodles with sauce in the photo, the sauce itself was bland and unbalanced.
Judging from that, I honestly doubt that the wonton soup everyone praises could really be that good either.
The Surimi (fish) balls were undercooked, and the noodles were soggy — overall, the quality was disappointingly low.

The food here was phenomenal. Me and my wife had sweet and sour chicken, black pepper chicken, and Chicken lo mein. And we loved it. Definitely worth a try here. Especially since it’s so hard to choose from so many options. I will be back here again

Excellent Cantonese food. Locals line up out the door, very limited seating, but well worth the wait. Had the 3 meats chow mein. Hot chili and white pepper on the table- which is fresh and spicy and completely ups the spice on the dish 😋. Will come back again and again

Amazing food, amazing service, dainty and nifty spot to grab some grub. My friend visited San Francisco for the first time and had a great time chowing down on chow mein here.

New resturant for me. It was the first resturant after getting off at the new subway station in Chinatown. I had ordered the Mongolian Beef to see how it tastes from a Chinese resturant back home. New Fortune tastes slightly better since I think they use szechuan peppers in the dish. I like spicey food. Sorry no pics of my lunch was taken. Btw if there’s alot asian people eating there, you know it’s a good chinese resturant

Our second time coming here. Accidentally found the same restaurant 5 years later. Still awesome cantonese food. I dig the pepper and black bean noodles.

After reading all the reviews, I was very excited to go here for chicken chow fun. Unfortunately, I was severely let down. There was no flavor, the noodles were super thin, and the bok choy was shriveled and old.

Seating is very limited. A few tables for two and a few tables for four. When I went, it was fully seated with about 26 dining inside. The price is reasonable but there's an additional charge for the credit card if the bill is below 20. And you won't get a receipt paying cash. Food tastes okay but because it's so close, maybe the closest, to the union square, this place never lacks customers.

Owner need to see this. The waitress automatically charge me $2 in tips when I did not want to tip her. Tips are extra not mandatory she needs to be reevaluated of her actions

Go for to go, as all dine in tip is auto added at liberty with random tax when there’s no priory bill, so all 11.75 meals come out to $15!!
Great find with delicious food.

Waited for the food for about 35 mins and it never arrived. Dang, I spent over there almost my entire lunch break and went back to work hungry. Ridiculous.
