The restaurant was full at lunchtime on a Monday. There was a short wait before I was seated. I ordered a wonton soup $8 and a crispy tomato beef noodles $13.75. It took about five minutes for the soup to come out and another 15 minutes for the crispy noodles to arrive. The wontons were tasty with pieces of minced meat and shrimp. As for the crispy noodles, the chef messed it up. I asked for less sauce and it came out smothered. Most of the noodles were already soggy. There's no sense in ordering crispy noodles if the chef is going to do that. There's only one waitress for the entire restaurant. Service is slow but I don't blame her. Pro tip, the restroom key is tied to a tin can on the bakery counter.

The green onion twist bread (choong yow bao) are the BEST. If you get them fresh, they're warm, soft, slightly sweet and savory. Reminds me of childhood every single time. They do in fact alter brain chemistry, and even when I'm over 500 miles away I still wake up and think about these delicious rolls.

Stumbled across this bakery and restaurant while walking. Restaurant is small and does not look its best but their food is good. They have baked goods and serve noodles and rice dishes. Ordered wonton soup and silky eggs with shrimp over rice. Wonton soup was very good. The flavors were just right. Not too salty. Soup came with Yau Choy as well. It was the right balance. Silky eggs with shrimp over rice. Felt like the rice was a day old and it is for fried rice. I ask for extra egg but it doesn't seem like they added it. If only there were more of the silky eggs, this dish would be perfect. Overall I enjoyed the food and would come back and try other dishes and baked goods here

Cash only cute cafe in china town. Their scallion buns are really good and have very decent prices for drinks.

best egg tarts ever! Grew up eating these. Might be one of the only places in SF with cookie crust egg tarts. If you’re lucky, you can get fresh egg tarts that are still warm Very kind people

I left a review here saying how great the food was. I've came in multiple times, I always tip. I come back in again the larger women is always slow with serving. No big deal. They need 3 servers. But I asked her to add noodles to my wonton soup. It's just noodles, she screamed so load at me everyone turned around. " NO NO NO TO LATE, WHY YOU WANT IT NOW" you're at work you shouldn't be screaming. This was the first time I left with out tipping in my life. She really need to work on that. I gave social anxiety, I can't even go into Starbucks. Not ok to scream over noodles when I'm paying you.

Racist! They don't like non Chinese people! Wow behind counter screamed at the top of her lungs at me while the other laughed when I asked for a bag for Togo . Charged me $5 for hot tea! Maybe they would like a visit from Weights and Measures!

Solid no frills bakery in Chinatown with all of the essentials such as egg tarts and pineapple buns. Prices are reasonable and they are cash only. The only thing I did not see were the coconut cream buns but they may have sold out. Worth a stop to pick up a few pastries if you are in the area.

I feel like this place is a hidden secret as I love my bake char siu baos. I can't get them like how SF Chinatown makes them where I live in the East Bay. I felt like a race when I used to go to the popular shop on Stockton with the line-up down the street waiting to get then hearing they are all out of my baked char siu baos! I would get there by 10:30 AM and all gone! Whoa is me! But not no more! I can literally get my 2 dozen (or more) to bring back home all nicely freshly baked and pretty. And the ladies there are so nice. Plus don tats yum! And there are other items to explore - pineapple buns And I went after lunch in the afternoon for a stress free shopping experience to walk in and get exactly what I wanted to go home with my happy load of buns! And the Muni T train is a great way to get into Chinatown now~!

Good cheap bakery items. Yeah they don't speak English much but it won't be a problem.

Living the the area, I've tried many egg tarts in SF Chinatown, and this place's makes it in my top 3 favorites! Its crust is superior - flaky, thick, and milky. The filling is fairly sweet (less eggy), but nonetheless delicious. I can devour one of these so fast. They're 1 for $1.50 and 3 for $3.75! I haven't tried their cooked food, but my dad has gotten their Singapore style fried noodle and really enjoyed it! The one con for him was that the shrimp was small, but the noodle texture & curry flavor overall were good. The ladies working there are also great, and friendly reminder that it's cash only. Definitely going to continue coming back for their pastries and to give their cooked dishes a try!

I go there every other week to buy my green onion buns and it’s a hit or miss, some days there will be good amount of green onions and there are times when they are quite stingy. And I buy 6-7 green onion buns each time so it’s not like they skim on 1 or 2 buns and you won’t able to see what you get since they put the buns in the back corner. But why I will have to stop coming here anymore is because of their rude servers, especially the lady with the medium length hair. Everytime I am there, I can see her just yelling at her customers even at elderly. And from time to time I wouldn’t need a 10 cent bag but she would give me the death stare each time and one time she would say it’s only .10 cent, and said to me why wouldn’t you need a bag. And I had to explain myself that I can carry the buns with no problem, it’s not the bag price, I just don’t need the bag to waste. I have no use for it. I don’t know why she likes to make a big fuss over such small things.
