Got some live fish sold here. They are fresh and good for steaming. However, the staff is very impatient and sometimes rude. I avoid buying stuff from this place if I could.
So many fish with fair prices!
The scallops I paid for were off. To the point we tossed them because of the smell after cooking and the possibility of getting sick. I had bought them 4 hrs prior to a BBQ and they were never left out. They were also constantly on ice from the store to my place which took no longer than 45 min. So it was the store that sold them to me bad. Will not go here again.
dishonest
The freshest fishes on earth(exaggerate much?) But honestly the price is very reasonable and the fishes are very fresh and doesn't stink much. One guy speaks English while the rest is pretty much sign language but they get your point. They clean your fishes for you so fret not to new wannabe cooks.
Easy to get to spot for fresh salmon n crab.
I understand that it is another culture, but all living beings must be respected, the fish are crowded together suffering. AWFUL!
Where we often buy food,
The stereotypical chinatown wet market. Everything from vegetables, red meat, fish, canned goods, snacks and much much more. Come in for soy sauce and leave with groceries for the week. This place is busy, especially during the weekend. Many similar markets have come and gone, but this one has stood the test of time, it may not be the most convenient or have the best prices of products, but its what many chinatown locals and sf resident come too for their far east shopping needs.
I found the a very nice rock cod here and the other seafood looked fresh too. Sawdust on the floors and a fishy smell permeates the place on the early morning that I was here.

Fresh fish, little tough to communicate in english but you know what to do!!!
Raw and live seafood shop.
Good food
Very curious. A whole neighborhood of all kinds of stores stocked with a large quantity of product, especially aimed at the Chinese market.
Fresh.
