This is the first time I came to New Moon Restaurant. I’m very impressed with the services, the quality of the food and the price is the cheapest around the area. This owner’s wife is very honest and friendly. I accidentally gave her too much money and she gave it back to me. Moving forward, I will always come back to this restaurant.

Been here at least several times and no attitude yet. They try to be helpful. Your favorite things could sell out near the end of the day. They sell single serving rice pudding "cake" made with brown sugar. Not many places make this item.

We did a egg tart tour of Chinatown buying tarts from 6 shops and taste tested them to find our favorite. The egg tarts from New Moon was the 2nd place choice of our 4 taste testers. This one was a bit messy and sort of crumbled apart. The custard was a good flavor.Follow me to find out what tarts were our favorite.

Some of the best tasting to-go dim sum you can find in Chinatown. A very good selection of dim sum items and hot food as well. Staff are friendly and efficient.

Authentic very basic/low rent Chinese dimsum, not the best taste but not bad too.

New Moon has more than just dim sum. They also have fried rice, chow mein by the pound and fried chicken. I like this restaurant because the food is decent and there isn't a long line like some other over-hyped dim sum restaurant on Stockton St. The Chinese donut, fried chicken and porridge tasted fine. Service was fast. Good job staff at New Moon.

Cheap and quick spot to pick up dim sum to go! Ordered Pan Fried Turnip Cake and Dried Shrimp with Parsley Noodle Roll (Cheurng Funn) The Turnip Cake had a good light savory flavor and it was soft enough. What I liked about the noodle roll is that the dried shrimp pieces were very small. It gives it a little crunch and flavor. They also gave special soy sauce packets for the noodle roll. It’s not like typical soy sauce. It’s a little sweeter. One of the packets they gave me was empty so I thought that was odd.Otherwise, the service is what you would expect at a typical fast food Chinese restaurant.

I got some of the fried sesame balls with red bean paste and they were delicious! Haven’t tried anything else (yet).

Nice little spot for authentic takeout dim sum and snacks. If the other place is super long then just a few stores down this place is great! Really enjoyed the Malay cake and crispy sesame ball. Next time I'll leave to try more.

We were looking for a small snack so just swung in here. $3/3 shumai and for chive dumplings. I came in not expecting much since it was near end of day. The shumai was actually pretty delicious! The shumai were big and had lots of flavor. The chive dumplings were also very large and the rice wrapping was not too thick or thin - great consistency and flavor! Would definitely swing by here again!
