I really enjoy my curry and just watched a video about a curry place in Japan that really made me hungry for some. So was really happy when I saw this place when I was at a nearby shop. I decided to stop by for lunch and SO glad I did.

The curry is beef based and extremely rich in flavor. Just savory, umami filled deliciousness. Almost like a gravy. I ordered it with the pork cutlet which was fresh out of the fryer, thin, and slightly crispy. Just the way you want it in your curry. There was just the right amount of rice and a side of pickled vegetables to add some tartness once in awhile was perfect.

The restaurant is located across from a school and there isn't a ton of street parking in the area. I was there on a Sunday so it wasn't bad, but imagine it can be difficult during peak times. The restaurant has about 10 counter seats and a few more spots where you can eat standing up, so it isn't large. A lot of their business is take-out/delivery as there was a pretty consistent stream of people picking things up.

The service was super-friendly and quick. I'd highly recommend this place!

Had Katsu (chicken thigh) curry over rice. Curry is average, bit sweet, compared to Thai or Indian curry but chicken is moist and juicy. Beware that their tips suggestions screen are based on the total amount including the San Francisco 4.5% mandate which means I am paying for and tipping on the employee’s healthcare. Not a fan overall and won’t be back.

After a Japan trip, this is exactly what we needed to scratch our curry itch.

The vegetarian curry was pretty damn good, the katsu curry was good but the katsu itself could have used more flavor.

Obviously not as tasty as the Japan chain curries but pretty damn good.

Can’t go wrong with curry and fried protein, but the pork katsu was tough. I’d recommend chicken katsu instead if you were to eat here.

Felt like I was back on the slopes of Niseko.

I appreciate a restaurant that knows what they are about and executes well. This place has like 2 menu items and it’s great. No frills, just good katsu with sauce.
