Nice restaurant in a beautiful hotel. GREAT service! Only giving it 4 stars because, despite a fantastic cheeseburger, the appetizer of octopus with chorizo had almost no chorizo, and the octopus was extremely tough and rubbery. It is likely the least expensive restaurant on Nob Hill, and it was convenient to the Masonic Hall, where we were seeing a show. My husband thought his salmon was excellent.

We had breakfast here one morning during our stay at the InterContinental. Seemed like a popular place for business folks to meet up for a bite before work. Service was prompt and the decor was lovely. I enjoyed an omelete while my husband had a lox bagel. The food, coffee, and atmosphere were great!

Absolutely loved dining at The Nob Hill Club. The decor is so unique and luxurious without feeling stuffy — it really sets the tone for a relaxing but refined meal. Big windows line the space, and we had the perfect view overlooking California Street, watching the cable cars roll up and down. Such a classic San Francisco moment.

We had both breakfast and lunch here, and while both were great, lunch was especially memorable. The grilled octopus with chorizo was flavorful and perfectly cooked, the steak was juicy and tender, and the salad was super fresh and beautifully plated. Everything was well-seasoned and thoughtfully presented.

Service was lovely throughout — warm, attentive, and unhurried. It felt like a hidden gem tucked inside a historic hotel, and I’d definitely come back again whether I’m staying at the Mark Hopkins or just in the neighborhood.

This review is limited to breakfast only!
Friendly staff, seated immediately. Kind and helpful for my mobility limitation. The place wasn't busy at all at 7:30am on a Wednesday. Calm and quiet, easy to talk. Nice, solid choices of breakfast selections. Order served quickly within a few minutes. Good, tasty dishes, fresh and cooked to order! No buffet. The common pricing in luxury hotels, not surprising but not exaggerated either. Unfortunately we were a bit in a rush to an appointment, would have loved to spend more time and enjoy. Will come back, definitely recommended!
P.S. The Nob Hill Club hosts also the Club Intercontinental that deserves a different rating unfortunately. I believe this is a topic for IC management and shouldn't penalize the Nob Hill Club.
Bonus: if you stay on a Club rate or are high status IHG member, the cooked to order breakfast is included.

Both food and service were good. A lovely setting in a beautiful hotel that perfectly exemplifies old San Francisco.

Overpriced poorly prepared food.
Waiter obviously trying to get you to order the most expensive item on the menu.

This was a Saturday evening last minute choice. As a guest of the hotel it was difficult finding a decent restaurant for dinner. Incredibly, the concierge of the hotel leaves at 6 PM on weekends; we only had ourselves to figure out where to go. The dining room is dated, but relaxing. That is where the good ends. There were no more than 5-6 other diners while we were there. The special corned beef/St Patrick's Day dinner was less than awful. My partner had a chicken piccata which she said was mediocre. Whoever manages the hotel, and the dining room, has little to no interest in the property. I would be embarrassed to be the manager. I chose to stay here for sentimental reasons. My parents had stayed here 50 years ago, on a very rare vacation, to visit my brother in the Navy at Pearl Harbor. Don't go. I would have preferred a good diner; live and learn.

Food here is subpar, I order steak and fries, the first time is over cooked, this time slightly overcooked. The meat is definitely not good one, you can tell by the texture and color. Not worth it at all for 70$

Special menu for Valentine's Day was excellent and enjoyed the dinner tremendously. You could have ordered off the regular menu, but we choose the special menu. Actually one of the entrees was from the regular menu.

It was a very funny evening! We had a wonderful time! One table had an eccentric lady breaking out with a huge rash on her face, the table across from us had their carrot fly over to our table guests kept breaking glasses and one lady looked like she just popped out of Disneyland with an amazing gown very costume like! We really enjoyed our meal. The carrots were very undercooked, reason for the flying carrot.😂

It was a nice, quiet festive atmosphere for Christmas Day dinner for our family of 4 adults. We had the prix fix menu. The onion soup was excellent and so were the beet/goat cheese salads. We started with tasty warm bread rolls and truffle butter and a glass of sparkling wine (included). 3 had the prime rib and our vegetarian daughter had the pea risotto. The other choice was salmon. Dessert was molten chocolate lava cake with ice cream. Delicious and decadent. A nice evening out. Service was attentive and efficient. Thank you!

Didn't go in expecting much, and boy was it worse. Sat so long unattended I had to ask the host if our table had a waiter assigned. Crispy Salmon was cold. French Onion soup was tragic. If you're suffering from depression this food may be your tipping point, you've been warned.
