Wish zero stars was an option. Read the plentiful 1 star reviews--they give you the accurate experience of this place. Noe Valley Bakery is nothing special, not worth the wait. The cookies and pastries were dry and mediocre. Haven't tried the bread. The only exceptional thing about this bakery is the exceptionally horrid customer service. The employees working at Noe Valley Bakery must be absolutely miserable working there--that's how they act while serving customers, resentful, rude, and miserable. There are many better-- and more pleasant-- businesses to patronize on 24th Street. Don't waste your time here. Definitely not worth the wait.

I cannot wait for Noe Valley to have a decent bakery but sadly this is not it. Every time I go I am so disappointed. Just super overrated -- you'd be better off even going to Whole Foods bakery or La Boulangerie down the block. Waited in a long line and was super disappointed with the scones and cupcakes that my friends and I tried and ordered. Dry, too sweet, just not high qualify. Very poor service as well.

My favorite bakery in San Francisco! I come here every time a birthday comes around. If you don't want a cake, they have most cakes in cupcake form! Great for a party. The staff is very helpful and I love the handwriting style!

The best bakery in the neighborhood. I'm walking quietly from 29th to buy bread and their excellent cookies.

Best bakery in the city! Got my husband a carrot cake for his birthday and it was so delicious, hands down the best cake i've had. They wrote happy birthday on it for me in any color i wanted too. It was $50 for a 8 in cake which fed all 20+ adults and is incredibly affordable when you compare to the chains like susie's. I'll be back any time i need a cake!

I got a cheesecake from their bakery and in between the cheesecake and the crust, there were egg shells that I was biting into…

Great for everything but pre-orders. No idea why they ask you for an exact time of your pre-order pick up as, regardless, you will have to stand in line, which it my case took 30 minutes I did not have. And yes, the staff confirmed this was their process. Also, don't know why after everything I just said they still don't have your order boxed and ready when you finally arrive.

Solid location but my only gripe is they don’t have a dedicated window for pick up of preorders. Having to wait in a line for something I’ve already purchased is like the Alta vista of service in 2024.

If you’re looking for a no frill bakery you’ve found it. Good, but nothing special in my opinion.

Literally go to any other bakery. The staff is so incompetent and rude. I called to confirm a cake they said they didn’t have it. Came in person to pick up a cake, all they had to do was hand me a cake that was paid for in advance. Instead I had to wait in a line for an additional 20 minutes. Inconvenient not friendly, quality of cake was that of an Albertsons bakery.
