Had A1 wonton noodle for breakfast. Wonton was plump and juicy. They added green onion and chives. Soup is fragrant with the smell of 大地魚。 They definitely don’t skimp out on ingredients. The breakfast special also came with soy milk. The soy milk had froth in the top. I guess they make it fresh in house. They also have a sign up that says $1 milk tea but I didn’t order it.I look forward bringing my kids here for late afternoon snacks.Sorry, I couldn’t take a pic of my wonton noodle because it went down my belly already.

I ordered curry noodle soup, the soup was rich and multi-layered, and the meat was tender. I took out a box of chestnut shortbread and it was delicious. It feels like the boss has put a lot of effort into the taste. Although it is reflected in the price, it is

Casual Hong Kong Style Cafe specializing in noodles, won ton with different fillings and curry or stewed rice plates. In this quiet little corner of the Outer Sunset just down the street from the busy intersection of Noriega at 19th Avenue, you'll find two blocks filled with lots of little mom 'n pop restaurants like this one. Tons of angled spaces with meter parking out in front.Inside Noodle Stop, the best tables are near the front along the plate glass windows which have their own little cozy "nooks" for a modicum of semi privacy away from everyone else.On the menu, you won't find much fried stuff like chow mein or chow fun (fried wide rice noodles), as most everything from the menu here is either stewed or boiled. Odd exceptions to this include garlic fries and calamari, and the excellent selection of baked goods right there when you walk in.Items we ordered:Sweetheart/Wife Cakes 5.0/5! Excellent!! Tender flaky cookie-like pastries filled with melon paste. We have tried a lot of these from different places but these are arguably better than some fancier bakeries down the Peninsula.. We will come back for that!Gai Lan Veggies (4.0/5): Big pieces perfectly braised. Cooked perfectly, served with oyster sauce one the side. On point!Won Ton with Braised Beef Brisket (3.7/5) :7 pieces of average to smallish won ton filled with shrimp and pork served with mostly tender beef brisket and some chewy tendons in broth. Dumpling Soup / Sui Gao: (Dumplings with chive and pork filling) (3/5): Think won tons, but bigger. Imagine pot stickers boiled and served in a chicken broth. Bingo... but the flavor of the chives overwhelmed the pork."Spicy Curry Chicken with Rice" (2.1/5): You get a deep bowl of curry chicken, carrots and potatoes with a bowl of white rice on the side. Unlike most HK curry renditions, this one has a stronger kick to it, but is more of a curry soup, as it is a thin broth instead of a sauce. Sauce, IMHO would have been better. The white meat chicken was mostly tough, sad to say. If you must order this, get it with noodles.Onion Pancakes (2.0/5) - Imagine a flour tortilla with bits of onion in it, pan seared like a quesadilla! Kind of doughy, a smidge undercooked and sadly a bit on the bland side. I want to like Noodle Stop, but other than the sweetheart/wife cakes the other offerings weren't really our taste. Others seem to like it though!POSITIVES: That said, The service is fast and efficient once you flag them down and the "sweetheart cakes" are 5.0/5.0! We'll be back for those!

I ordered takeout online and it was very easy to order and quick to pick up. Sadly wasn't too impressed by the taste. Everything was well packaged and they kept the broth separate from my wonton soup to keep the noodles from getting mushy. I feel like everything would taste a lot better with salt. Spicy tripe was pretty hot and lots of garlic but those were the only flavor profiles. Wonton from soup and fried wontons had chunks of shrimp but were not seasoned so tasted pretty bland. Inside looked clean and neat from my quick trip in. Their spicy sauce tastes great and noodles were well cooked.

Ok, but I didn't really care for the flavors myself. I don't think I'll be ordering from them again.

It’s hard to find authentic, vegan Chinese options, but this place has it! The staff were so kind to make sure I was clear that everything in my ordered meal was vegan, and it was absolutely delicious. Super fast and affordable, I can’t wait to come back!

Good neighborhood eatery for Chinese comfort food. Opens late. Food was a bit pricey but one of the better neighborhood choices for late night dining.

Even though it had been quite a while since I'd been back, I was pretty bummed when I heard that Won Ton House had shuttered its doors. The food wasn't the greatest, save for their curry potstickers which they always seemed to run out of, but it was a familiar refuge that was never busy and stayed open late. Which, given the dearth of late night options in the Sunset, was a huge draw! Suffice to say I was pretty stoked to pass by late one night and see that Noodle Stop was open just as late as their predecessors. In fact, it was for almost that reason alone that I felt compelled to come check them out! Well, that and to see if they just might have those elusive curry potstickers that I miss so much (spoiler alert: they don't)Now, if you've ever been to Won Ton House, the inside of Noodle Stop will look all too familiar (only the cups and dishes look different). The concept of their food is fairly similar as well, focusing heavily on noodle dishes, but the menu is a bit more extensive and varied. In addition to many of the same same sorts of wonton noodle soups, dry noodles, porridges, and sides, Noodle Stop offers a lightly different range of rice plates, as well as guilin noodles, curry dishes, rice noodles, and desserts. It was also a little unexpected to see offerings like garlic fries, chicken tenders, and oreo cheesecakes offered alongside beef entrails, pork liver and kidney, and tripe, but you can't say they don't have something for everyone!-- (A21) PAN FRIED PORK POTSTICKERS (4pcs)...$6(yelp.com/biz_photos/nood…)Honestly, this was kind of a waste. it didn't taste bad per se, though it was pretty generic and not very meat. Rather, the pieces were all so small! For the money, I'd rather spend it on a frozen bag of potstickers from an Asian market...-- (B5) STEWED BEEF BRISKET WITH WONTON NOODLE SOUP...$16(yelp.com/biz_photos/nood…)I'm torn. Based purely on taste, this was pretty solid. The noodles had a nice bite, the broth was flavorful, the wontons were decently plump, and there was a good mix of lean and fatty pieces of beef. That said, this felt a little light on value given the somewhat modest portion size.-- (A12) WONTON WITH CHILI OIL (SPICY)...$8(yelp.com/biz_photos/nood…)For the most part, this wasn't too shabby. The wontons were just as good and the chili oil had a fair amount of heat, though they didn't pour a lot of it. I just wish they sprinkled less of the seasoning on top, as it added a overwhelming, herbaceous flavor.-- (J23) STEWED BEEF BRISKET WITH RICE NOODLE CLAYPOT...$11(yelp.com/biz_photos/nood…)One of my new favorite dishes ANYWHERE. The beef was just slightly fatty (in a good way), tender, and uber luscious. What's more, the sauce was packed with flavor and coated the rice noodles perfectly. Honestly, I could eat two orders of this and be super happy!-- (B14) COMBINATION NOODLE SOUP - Housemade Wonton, Fish Cake, Tofu, Beef Balls, Fish Ball, and Seasonal Vegetables...$17(yelp.com/biz_photos/nood…)By comparison, this noodle soup was far more filling, though not necessarily better in quality. The fish cake, beef balls, and fish balls were wahtever, but the fried tofu (and wontons) were great. I didn't care much for the veggies, though, as some of the leafy pieces were clearly turning yellow.-- (L6) SPICY MINCED PORK GUILIN RICE NOODLE SOUP (Regular Spicy)...$15(yelp.com/biz_photos/nood…)In hindsight, I erred and should have ordered the lo mein version (dry with egg noodles). The minced pork was fine, but the flavors were diluted in the broth, which also felt very thin. As for the noodles, they were just okay - cooked fine, but not much chew to them. One non-food thing that I really like about Noodle Stop, in addition to their late hours (open until 1am!) is how friendly one of the workers is. I'm not sure if she is the owner (seems like it), but I've seen her almost every time I've been here and she is super nice. Which is actually why I feel a little bad for rounding down from THREE AND A HALF STARS. it's jus

This place hits the spot whenever I am craving Cantonese lo-mein and wonton noodle soup. My go-to is stewed beef brisket lo-mein. The proportions are really big sized, which is good as it is fair for the price. Their chili sauce that they serve is very good. I love pairing it with my dishes, and it complements well with most their dishes. The service is pretty standard, so nothing to complain there. The ambiance is very casual inside, which is extremely comforting for me. I would recommend to not buy their lemon ice tea because even though it tasted really good, it came in the smallest cup ever, which I did not think was worth it at all. Other than that, no complaints, and I would definitely be coming back.
