Another great meal at Nopa. Great and lively atmosphere inside. Awesome and changing by-the-glass wine list. Amazing outdoor parklet that is well-heated. The fried chicken is absolutely amazing.
As always NOPA never disappoints. Booked high top but came early and was given a regular seat which we requested and were so grateful for. The food is so so good. It makes me tear up. From the humble salads to the amazingly executed flatbread to the desserts and the unparalleled best espresso martini in the city, NOPA is just the best experience one could ask for from a foodie city like SF. However - the stand out??? Our server. Margo was a gem of a server and I can't remember a time when I went out and was treated so lovingly. Just for that alone- this place deserves a 10 star rating. It's true that even if a place were mediocre - which NOPA is not- the best measure of a restaurant is its service at its heart. Margo embodies that and so much more. Thank you. We absolutely loved our time here.
The burger was not as good as I remember it. The bun was not great though the meat was delicious. Had to wait over 30 minutes for my burger.
I've dined at NOPA many times before and have always enjoyed excellent meals and experiences. Unfortunately, my visit last night was quite disappointing. Both the white beans and broccolini were heavily over-salted, and the steak was badly charred — with an unmistakably burnt flavor. When I mentioned this to the manager, I was told that a replacement would taste the same because “that's how we grill our steaks.” With respect, properly grilled steaks develop a Maillard sear, not a burnt taste that one has to discard from the mouth. If flare-ups are causing grease burn, that's a preventable issue your kitchen should address to ensure consistency and quality. Additionally, the noise level at the corner tables was overwhelming — it was nearly impossible to carry on a conversation. Some acoustic treatments on the walls or ceiling could make a huge difference in creating a more enjoyable dining environment.
Food was very tasty! Good prices. Service was slow between courses but they were very friendly people. I'm recommending to my friends!
Outstanding on every level. Food, service and atmosphere all excellent. One of the most memorable meals you will ever have.
the smoked trout is absolutely delicious, so is the salad "little gems". Our pasta dish was delayed a bit longer than normal, but was brought in as soon as we asked. Marisela was our person who delivered the food and she was outstanding.
Really great food, lively atmosphere, friendly service. However, we only received three of the five dishes we ordered and were then presented a bill when we declined dessert. Very strange.
Wonderful food, as always, and terrific servers. Cocktails were great, and very reasonably priced. I just wish the noise level went down a notch. But it wasn't crazy loud. This restaurant remains a consistently great place for dinner.
Food was whatever. I can do a better job in my opinion sticking food in the oven. The brisket was cooked in an instant pot I think, nothing special. Overall, I wouldn't come back and the price is just so not worth it.

Drinks were spilled, glass was broken, and my bags were stained with red wine. Initially, the staff acted as if it was a normal occurrence. When I gave a low tip due to the lack of compensation for the situation, they “remembered” the incident and had the manager speak with us afterward. The manager then belittled us for the low tip, insisting that the broken glass and spilled drink were not the staff's fault. We were reprimanded for not tipping more, despite the service being average at best. Overall, this situation could have been handled more gracefully, and I can confidently say I would never return to Nopa because of the management's treatment.
This place is one of the best restaurants we've been to in a long time. The food is excellent and their vegetarian dishes are sooooo good (only one of us was vegetarian but we all ate from his dish since they were so good). The prices are fair. They're a well oiled machine. The waitstaff is excellent. Food comes out very efficiently and we constantly were checked on to see if we wanted more of anything. When we did get additional drinks or food they also came quickly.
Went for our anniversary, and the restaurant was a wonderful choice. The food, ambiance and service were all delightful. We had the smoked trout, the lamb tortellini, the pork chop and the eggplant parm, and everything was delicious. The mixed drinks were also beautiful and delightful. We will definitely return!

It's slipped in food quality but still pretty good. Food reminds me of zuni.
