I attended the premier of Oasis' Jurassiq Parq Parody Musical and was blown away at the production, the costumes, the sets, Samuel L Jacksons cigarette ash... Truly an amazing show that I'll be recommending everyone in the Bay Area see. They spared NO expense!

Writing as a tourist, not a local.

This is a neat, sizeable, venue with the kitschy decor one might expect from a venerable SF drag venue.

On the night we went, a local queer theatre troupe was doing a sort of choose your own adventure play sci Fi theme play. It was a lot of fun, though I would love to return for a more traditional drag show.

I think the most important thing to understand about this drag venue is that it is a venue, not a gay bar, so most events are ticketed. So if you have tickets for one event, and there's another ticketed event after, and you don't have tickets for THAT event, then they will, in the nicest way possible, make you leave the venue.

I don't know if, under their current business model, there's a way to mitigate that small awkwardness. It might just be the reality of being the most popular lgbtq venue in SF.

I’ve waited until 10 visits to make this review in order to make sure I have a complete opinion. The staff, bartenders, and performers are WONDERFUL! However, the crowd is heavily centered on white gay men. If you are queer POC or woman/femme, this space is not the best. If you frequent POC queer clubs, the same level of consideration + respect at our clubs among the Oasis crowd is not honored here. The amount of times I’ve had drinks spilled on me, been elbowed in the face, stepped on, had men 2+ feet taller than me deliberately stand in front of me during a show—it’s too many to count. The only people who say ‘excuse me’ or treat you like a human being, are other POC or women/femmes. Again, the staff are exceptionally welcoming and kind, so this has nothing to do with them! It seems to be a running joke that Oasis crowds are unfriendly to queer women and POC, so I would advise attending only for POC-led events. Thank you to the staff and performers!

The show tonight had a 10-15min snipit where the staff handed out Narcan and made a whole spectacle of it. Honestly, I find this so sad. Instead of making a joke of and trying to normalize the use of Narcan, how about you actually normalize NOT using the drug that could cause you to overdose?!

My favorite place to see drag shows. Reparations and Princess are always great. Seen some great cabaret shows too. Expensive drinks

I went on valentine day 2025 paid for show was so bad. One dancer performed like 10 times the Dj was so bad. There is so many many great music out there and he plays something no one knows how to dance. 5 min after the show there was 5 people left there coz so bad music.

the bartender with the long beard refused to give me water when the water jug was empty. they said “figure it out yourself babe”. it was extremely rude and irresponsible.

Situated in SoMa/Folsom, OASIS is a well-known gay bar that often hosts themed nights and drag shows. However, the Black Friday/Thanksgiving weekend experience was a mixed bag.

Ambience: Friendly vibes with a slightly more relaxed energy. Not overly crowded, but still engaging.

Decor: Retro-chic with a versatile performance space that caters to diverse themes. Check out their Rooftop alfresco seating especially during warmer months.

Crowd: Welcoming and inclusive, though the numbers were low for a holiday weekend.

Drinks: Specialty cocktails are a standout, and the drinks pack a punch.

Entertainment: The drag performance leaned heavily on 50s and 60s music, which might not appeal to everyone. The real stars of the night were the go-go boys, who brought dynamic dance moves and acrobatics that wowed the audience.

Music: Themed music tied to the drag performance; nostalgic but may not suit modern tastes.

Pro Tips: Be prepared for the $30 cover charge (drinks not included). Grab a strong cocktail and find a good spot to enjoy the go-go boys.

Overall: OASIS SF offers a mix of performances and cocktails, though the experience may depend on the theme of the night. Worth visiting for the go-go dancers and friendly atmosphere, but the steep cover charge could be a downside.
