Prices a tad more than I'd like but the folks running the place are kind and efficient. The food is delicious too :D

We ordered over an hour ago and still haven't gotten our food. Will update this review if it ever arrives but one star because I'm hangry

Just ok. I'm not sure what happened with the 5 star reviews but nothing I ate had any real punch. I was famished and exercised before the meal too so it should've been much more delicious. Could be that I prefer southern Indian food? Everything seems to be made fresh but the only thing I really enjoyed was the naan. The tandoori chicken was super dry, could be that it was cooked 3 times as it's first deep fried (skinless and not breaded mind you), cooked in the tandoor then on the hot plate so it had basically formed a crust. Either that or they knowingly served reheated chicken and still it'll have been cooked twice. Add to that the fact it had very little flavor and wasn't really marinated through, the onions had more flavor combined with the lemon was the only salvo for this disappointing rendition. The whole table side juicing of the lemon made it even more of a farce. I've had much better chicken right from the tandoor, cooked perfectly juicy with lemon on the side which retains a sharper acidity than the sweet.acid of the hot plate version here. I've also had one of their vegetable curries and after the initial ravenous hunger went away, found it very bland as well. I feel they definitely cater to a more conservative crowd that like the more westernized dining style but flavor wise, I just found it very lacking altogether. Portions are average as well and I don't care for the presentation or table side antics either. But I do appreciate that they're open late so maybe another trip to try other curries with naan. Maybe Himalayan items too except I already found a much more delicious place that has all this and more.

So so delicious! My boyfriend and I came here on a Tuesday and we absolutely loved both the food and the service. The waiter was kind and attentive. We ordered the vegetable samosa, paneer korma, butter chicken, garlic naan, and basmati rice. We were obsessed with the fresh garlic naan and we wouldn't change anything about the curries. 10/10 would recommend!

I visited This restaurant and the food were great. I never had such a delicious Indian Indian food in my life. The service was best and servers were super friendly. Everything was shining clean. We ordered and dishes were served in less 15 minutes. Thank you very much for such great service and food. I think it is best Indian restaurant in Bay Area. My family loved every single dishes served. My children are very picky but they liked every dishes we had.

Was hesitant on ordering, like where do you even find such good reviews. But am I glad that I did . Ordered online and everything ran smoothly, walked in to pick up my order and was right away greeted which feels like they're super attentive. Another that caught my eye was the elegant vibes it gave ( and here I am in shorts &crocs) lol Now the food is absolutely delicious!!! Everything was super flavorful and despite driving around to a spot to eat it was still piping hot! Only down side was I didn't get any utensils but I should have expected that.. who eats takeout in their car right. Ultimately 10/10, will definitely think of coming back, maybe next time to dine in.

So delicious! One of the best Indian places in the area :). The best thing about this place is that apparently everyone who works there (waiters & servers included) all get shares to the restaurant and get paid well that they do not need to rely on tips in order to make enough money. The service is absolutely top tier and it's hard to find a place that is at this price point with good customer service in SF. We usually order to go, but the dine in experience is really magnificent (plus eating it in person is better). I really love their lamb curry but their Himalayan thali set is enough to feed two people luxuriously in my opinion. Definitely try out their lassi drinks as well and order their garlic naan! Will definitely come back again.

The best Momo in Bay Area. Generous servings and affordable price. Biryani is good and butter chicken is sooo good! Would definitely comeback and tell a friend about this hidden gem.

We visited this restaurant today for lunch and had a good time. They are not very busy during lunchtime on a Friday. Food are delicious and service are good. They even offer a free rice pudding/yogurt dessert after our meal. So nice!

I've wanted to sample the cooking of Ocean India Cuisine for ages, and finally opted for some takeout tonight. I placed my takeout order via DoorDash with my selections being the Lamb Biryani, and their Tandoori Chicken. Placing the order was simple, and it was ready by the time I'd driven from the Marina. The order was well packed, the staff pleasant, and parking located one block West. As for the food, the Tandoori was perfectly cooked, seasoned, and the citrus wedge a great vehicle to add brightness to the dish. Regarding the Biryani it was wonderfully spiced, the rice perfection, and the lamb both generous and delectable, that said some sour cream was added at home to mitigate some of the spice. I'd say for most persons it would not be an issue but it made the dish more palatable for me. Overall it was a good experience, and I would go back.

This place definitely deserves its 5 stars! Came here after a work meeting with some salarymen. Walked in a little before dinner with a group of 4. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Food was amazing, especially the tandoori chicken. It came out fresh and piping hot. We ordered about 5 dishes and the prices are very reasonable considering SF prices. Bossman never left our water cups empty which is always a plus considering extra spicy is the way to go! Definitely a favorite Indian spot SF.

Amazing service. We were seated immediately. Complimentary roti with artisan sauces! We ordered 2 chicken dishes and the naan. Everything was excellent. I'm super sensitive to spicy food and they hit it right on the mark. They also gave us some rice.pudding. They really care about the food and their customers experience. I hope they do very well!

Okay so you know how you come across a 5 star rating restaurant and you're a little skeptical? That's what brought me to Ocean and now I can report with confidence that this is legit 5 stars! Parking on a Saturday around 1:30pm was a cinch. They had 3 other parties but seemed a little busy keeping up with the demand. We were presented with a beautiful menu and they tried their best to provide an upscale vibe to their dining experience. The menu is extensive!! Check out my receipt and pictures for what we ordered. Everything was phenomenal. The momos are really popular and I can see why! I would love to see more variations of this!! I've never seen fish curry before but this was a delight! The salmon was tender and the sauce was absolutely addicting with the naan. I also chose a different type of lamb curry called kadai ghost -- I usually love my food spicy but my family cannot handle it and usually when you bring down the heat, the flavor also disappears but that's not the case with Ocean Indian! Every dish was good and every bite just made me want more. You're gonna need some kind of biriyani and I would highly recommend the seafood mix -- I really appreciate the amount of meat and seafood they added to every dish. Nowadays with COVID still running through, it has really affected the quality of a lot of restaurants but you will not be disappointed with Ocean Indian! We were given the papadum at the beginning for free and kheer at the end for free. Service was superb. The waiter was quite busy managing a steady amount of patrons that continued to flow in, even past 3pm. We waited quite awhile for our food and I was wondering why other tables got their food before us when they clearly placed their order after we did. I wondered if it's because we ordered the momos and that was considered an appetizer... I would have liked to eat all my food at once. We placed our order around 1:50 and I got my Salted Lassi drink at 2:07pm, then momos arrived at 2:17pm, naan at 2:36pm, and finally the rest of the dishes arrived. The taste and service more than made up for the wait though so I will not deduct any stars. The waiter was also very conscientious about thanking us for our visit today. Total bill was very reasonable. If there's one thing different you need to try, it's the Salted Lassi drink -- and yes, as the name implies, it's salty! It consists of ground cumin seeds, salt, yogurt and water -- blended into what appears to be a milkshake so your tastebuds are a little shocked when you take your first sip because you don't expect it to be salty. But trust me... wink
