Ocean Taqueria has the best Carne Asada in the city. It marinates all day and they grill it up fresh when you order. It makes a huge difference and the juice that comes off that soaks into the rice and beans which can make this burrito even better if you have leftovers to finish the next day.For those not in the know, Ocean Taqueria is a city stalwart just in a new location. They used to be in Ingleside and had a location on Divisadero(now The City Taqueria, which is I think a sister location as the meat stayed the same after the name switch). With El Farolito and the Ranchero Burrito at Taqueria Guadalajara a block away, the best concentration of Burritos in SF (perhaps the world) is now in the Excelsior.
The one thing Ocean Taqueria has, that the other taquerias around the Excelsior district doesn't have, is taco salads. I tried their steak taco salad $11. It was OK. I had better ones. It came with a crunchy taco shell, a base of iceberg lettuce, grilled onions and peppers, flank steak, sour cream topped with avocado, spicy pico (salsa) and sour cream. That spicy pico had some kick. I did enjoy this taco salad. Some places include rice and beans in their taco salads but this establishment does not. Chips are $0.75. At 7pm, I was the only customer eating in the dining room. My food came out fast. Good job staff at Ocean Taqueria.

Highly recommend this spot. We visited from Cali. Everything was delicious!!
Pretty good food with great flavor! I actually really enjoyed the food. I don't often see this restaurant but I'm really glad we ordered it!

The Super Burrito With Shrimp & Steak Is Muy Delicioso ??????
I’ve never eaten somewhere where they treat you so much like family, and have such good food! Reminds me of my mothers cooking,, definitely deserves five stars!
Restaurantji Recommends
I saw this place and I thought that it was going to be a moment of like “oh why did I spend my money here” but I really got surprise because it was not only a nice treatment of the people who work there but also the food was really good and I only bought a chicken quesadilla but last time that I had a chicken quesadilla in the Mexican restaurant was very bad so I believe if a simple item in the menu as a chicken quesadilla can be good most of the food is going to be good so that’s why I’m recommending this place with five stars because it is a good place to eat and also it feels like homemade food so GO try it and spend your money well
I rather eat my tacos and burritos from this place even though some people think their prices is elevated, well the meat is instantly cooked you get there (it's not early from the same day). Better than El Farolito and Guadalajara Taqueria.
I went there because my daughters wanted to try the carne asada fries. I got a Burrito. Its the NASTIEST Place I have been to so far the meat is tiny and hard it seems old. The fries where cooked in a frying pan and where still hard and not cooked all the way! They charge too much for the quality of food and there Not Friendly at all. I wouldn't go back even if that was the last Taco shop left.
Easy to find !
Los tacos de pastor y puerco en salsa verde estan deliciosos
