This Valentines Dating experience was so good it almost caught us off guard. I'm a sucker for good food and good Jazz. That trio was as good as I've heard -and I'm a musician myself! And as a retired Manager I'm also into good Customer Service. Old Skool Cafe made our evening unforgettable. Shout out to Layla who punctuated the experience with her hospitality and good vibes. I absolutely love the cafe's history and story. Bless you for giving those young employees a chance! We will definitely be returning!

I took my partner here for Valentine's Day and I got the food package. It was amazing and she loved it. They provided us 2 glasses of champagne with a rose. We had starter, entree and dessert menu and it was delicious. Our serve Lay was such a sweetheart and had the most amazing energy. We had 2 of the student project mocktail drinks that were called persimmon Horchata and Tropical Caribbean and they were so delicious. The music was really lively as well. We are planning on coming back soon. Thank you Old Skool Cafe !

The restaurant was very nice! The location was far from our hotel, but they were kind enough to hold our reservations. Toward the end of our meal, it felt rushed but we still enjoyed the ambiance, music and food. The service was very good! I recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting from out of state!

Not to mention it's a nonprofit which also gives hope and opportunity to at-risk teens ! Whoever is responsible for this place has things figured out

We went to celebrate my fiancé's promotion. They made us feel so special, they played a song for us, as well as gave us a card and complimentary desert. Literally the sweetest staff, and the vibe and food was absolutely perfect and incredibly. Not sure what cuisine was the food, but it was out of the world. Definitely on our fav list of restaurants in sf❤️

As a first timer , I believe the hype is overrated. I was a tad bit disappointed. The food could’ve been more flavorful. I hate when restaurants make me feel like I should’ve went to McDonalds.
Try serving the cornbread sweet potato muffins warm ! That would be killer. It’ll take it up a notch. Slow cook your Mac & let it brown on top . Overall 3/10

It had been a while since I had eaten at Old Skool Cafe. The food was excellent and the service was great! The young pianist was so talented, playing many jazz classics. It was an overall wonderful experience. On top of this, it is a nonprofit with a great purpose.
