First time going to a vegan restaurant! Ive been to vegetarian restaurants but never vegan. The dishes tastes SO good you can almost tell it was vegan. This is more of a tapas restaurant so its better to come with a group and order multiple small dishes.Especially the truffle mac and cheese which me and my friends were questioning if they used dairy cheese. All of their cheese dishes are coconut based to give it that creamy texture. Most if not all of their meat substitutes are soy based!However, i thought it was really rude when one of the workers came up to me and had an attitude when I brought my boba inside since no outside food/drinks are allowed. I didnt know because there were no signs and I usually bring my boba into restaurants without issue….but her tone was unnecessarily brash.

Great food, hideous service.I know waiters can have bad days, but there’s no need to take it out on customers. It wasn’t personal, because the bad attitude started from the second the server approached our table. I watched her interactions with other tables and it was similar. Nearly every thing that was said was a point of contention. I wanted to ask her what was wrong but it seemed like something severe had happened in her life.If you do end up going, I recommend the Au Gratin dish. It’s pricey but fantastic.

Ordered online and picked up you need to be older than 21 to go in. I picked up the Mac and cheese it was good. The place was super packed but I got service really quickly and easily which was really good. And the bar even though it was packed u didn't feel like people were on top of you and had an intimate nice vibe to go with friends.

We sauntered in for happy hour & we’re delighted to be able to sample the menu a little more freely via the HH menu. We started with the Ceviche Tostadas & Carne Asada tacos for the happy hour & loved them - excellent presentation, textures & tastes; balanced & delicious! We were reminded of one of our favorite vegan eateries, Bar BomBon in Philly as we got cozy in the dimly lit, trendy bar that was packing in for the happy hour. This is vegan central-American fusion done right. Up next was the Boneless Chicken Wings, which were not our favorite. At our server’s suggestion we went with the Korean BBQ sauce, which was great but comparatively speaking with other vegan wings we’ve had, these rank slightly mid. Good, not great. The next dish, however, was the show-stopper… On a whim we ordered the Arepitas, which we enjoyed so much we wish we double ordered them. Corn Masa & Plantains dolled up with some well executed spices & creams made this menu selection a star of the meal. Highly suggested! Big shout outs to our on-point server & to the bar for having a delicious NA Hazy IPA on draft!Vegetarian options: Vegan restaurant! Plant based menu!

I HAD NO IDEA THIS WAS A VEGAN SPOT AND IM SHOOKETH. Hear me out! I was invited for my friend's birthday. And unlike me, I didn't pre-stalk their Yelp page or website. I just walked in blind. And as a self proclaimed hardcore carnivore, when I tell you that I had NO IDEA I WAS NOT EATING MAMMAL or DAIRY from a cow, I WAS SHOOKETH CUZ I HAD NO IDEA!!!!!! I came for happy hour. We were unable to make a reservation for our large group so I was nervous we wouldn't find seating, but there's more seating in the back. I arrived first and was also nervous about trying to hold a table for 7 people alone, but as soon as I sat down, the manager came to me and helped me set up enough chairs and tables for my friends. To drink, I initially started with an old fashioned since their happy hour cocktails are only classic drinks, but then I switched to another drink similar to it that I really liked (i liked it more, forgot the name because my friends ordered it first and I just said I want the same as her). To eat, I had the carne asada tacos. Did I realize it was not beef? no, I did not. The thought of the "meat" pieces looking different did cross my mind fleetingly but it truly didn't register till well after we left and I was told it was a vegan spot. Same for the truffle Mac & cheese. It was phenomenal and I did actively think about the fact that it seemed a bit watery but I brushed it off because Omg it was so good and still creamy. Also, I didn't order the Mac & cheese; they definitely brought it out by accident, but I surely was not going to say no to it since it looked and smelled so good, so I kept it and paid for it. Finally I had the fries and those were tasty as well. This is the second time in my life that I have eaten a vegan meal without knowing it is vegan. Yes there are some differences but what I'm realizing is that if the food tastes good, it's most definitely harder to tell. Also doesn't help that the names are the carnivore names. I mean they still call it "carne asada", how could I have known? All to say, Om Sabor, well done. You fooled a hardcore carnivore out of eating meat lol and I'm not mad at it because it was phenomenal!
