You enter this location and are greeted before being brought to the main dining area. We came for restaurant week and were really happy with the menu. We definitely want to come back for their tasting menu. The smell of the fire from the open kitchen added to the ambiance. I appreciate the all gender bathrooms. From the menu, my favorite was the salad which was refreshing. Next favorite was the chicken fried beef tongue. Everything had great texture and aroma. Cocktails were also well balanced.

We were there during the restaurant week. Service was top notch, professional and warm. Decor was welcoming with an open kitchen design.Unfortunately food was sub-par for even a regular $$$ restaurant, let alone Michelin standard. Dishes were way too salty and had to be remade. There was a roast lamb dish that was just not hot enough to accentuate the contrast between the seared surface crust and the raw delicate meat in the middle.Culinary wise, green strawberry was used in one dish. It was raw and not have good fruit flavor or bite. Another salad had orange flavored with spicy sauce and basil. It was a mixture of palette not mingled well at all.My take away is that they're trying very hard to be creative and local but unsuccessful, at least to my untrained taste buds. It'll take a lot to convince me to go back.

This restaurant is a true gem. I was in food heaven all evening long. I highly recommend going here for inventive and tasty food. The service was great, the wine pairing was very interesting and worked so well with the dishes.

Had the privilege of dining at Liliana last Spring as I didn’t plan early enough for a reservation at Osito.Food definitely didn’t disappoint, loved the flavors and ingredients used such as the Lamb mixed roast, the flatbread & the pea fonduta. The tendrils had such a great fresh sweetness to them.Would love to try Osito someday if I were ever in San Francisco again.

Great food, great staff, great concept. Highly recommend for anyone looking for something super special, and it's a great place to go if you have a large group of people with something to celebrate.

We had been wanting to try Osito for a while, and when the Classic California 4 Course menu dropped at a slightly lower price point, we immediately made a reservation. Everything was top notch from: Service - a lot of attention to detail even before we showed up, adding details from Tock reservation system and making sure they were right in the restaurant. Also amazingly would put plates down at same time. Ambiance - amazing kitchen view, plus interesting plates and cutlery Food - fancy but simple at the same time. All incredible, and some very memorable dishes. I never thought a bread and butter dish was one I would write home about

Love this place! We've had all of the dishes on the menu over time, and all the taco options are deliciously good. Looking forward to our next meal!

I had been wanting to go here for a longggg time. I have been to their bar next door, Liliana, many times and love their cocktails and bites so I had high hopes for Osito. First, I want to say the food was very good. But the experience, given the cost and a Michelin star, needed some work. When we first arrived the people next to us were complaining how long everything was taking and given it’s a communal table this was hard to ignore. Second, it was freezing inside so I had to wear my coat the entire time. Third, the timing of the food was VERY slow and inconsistent. You’d sometimes get your next course in 2-3 mins and at some points we waited 10 mins. This is NOT how multi course meals are supposed to be delivered. I love the concept and the food was good but they have to get their timing figured out. Otherwise it’s not pleasant. I would not go back here or recommend it given my experience. Better to spend an extra $50 and go to Lazy Bear.

Osito, having been recently awarded its Michelin star was on the list for a double date we had last month. I was excited by the methods of cooking and creative ingredients. Unfortunately the experience was just "meh". Let me explain... Initially we had some amazing cocktails in their bar, this was the highlight of the visit. They sat us at their large communal table, that was fun. The food started coming out, it was rustic and adventurous but at some points just felt ultimately lack luster. The lowest points of the meal were veal sweet breads which I usually love, squab which while tasty resembled road kill and rice pudding which I'm sorry to say my Mom makes better with fewer ingredients. Some members of our party who dine fine regularly were so put off by presentations they just wouldn't eat certain dishes. We opted in for the wine pairing, our server while genial made it clear he didn't read the flash cards from the sommelier if there is one. He didn't know much about the wine he was pouring other than where it's from, what color it is and how it should taste. Some of the wines were gold and some straight funk. Overall for a one star id say it was interesting but underwhelming and we are not likely to return.

Came here with a large group and had the tasting menu! Honestly, the experience here was kind of like the movie, "The Menu".Good:- The chef explained each course as it came out, and it was clear that a lot of thought was put behind each one!- The food was all so so good, we had a tomato on a spoon, oysters, pork, 2 courses of dessert, fondue, and even a waffle appetizer.- Super aesthetic plating, and lots of care put into the presentation- Very nice vibes, cool long private table for usBad:- I left hungry even after the tasting, and wished each dish was 25% larger!Overall, this place is about what I'd expect from a tasting in SF, but I appreciate the thoughts and the way that each dish was explained!
