My boyfriend and I each noticed the seafood restaurant on the side of the road as we were driving to the 34th ave parking to go to the lands end park trails this evening. On the way back we decided to stop and have dinner at the seafood restaurant, and wow I'm glad we did! There was a small wait around 6 pm on a Saturday night, but they welcomes us in and took our name and gave us complementary wine while we were waiting. The vibe was a friendly atmosphere. The food was excellent, so fresh. We had spicy snapper which I highly recommend and would love to have again when we return. Everything on the menu looked so good, we would love to come back and try more. Can't wait until next time.

It’s an SF classic for fried prawns and wine while you wait. Always a treat for non fussy fish and seafood.

Service was extremely fast and they do serve wine to waiting customers. Parking can be very difficult to come by. Food was pretty good but some dishes sounded better on the menu than they tasted.
For the price, it's an unbeatable value and the seafood is fresh, sourdough bread is delicious and a SF delicacy. Good portions.

The best seafood around and especially the best crab cakes! Been enjoying this restaurant for years and always bring out-of-towners for a meal you won’t forget.

We saw this small restaurant by chance. We can say that we found this restaurant by the smell.... If the smell is pleasant, then the food will be tasty. And we were not mistaken. Everything was tasty and friendly. The male waiter was very active and served us on time like the Genie from Aladdin's lamp. Good tippings and wished him all the best. Thank you.

I took my wife there for our very first date 46 years ago. It still has the wonderful charm it had then. The BEST in SF.

We've been here a dozen times over 40+ years and the food and service have been consistently good at this cozy neighborhood restaurant. Free glass of jug wine cheers the overflow line waiting outside. Fresh seafood and salads, warm sourdough bread with butter. I had grilled snapper with Cajun spices last night. The spices overpowered the delicate fish but was still good overall. Our friendly waiter gave us garlic butter and tartar sauce, both tasty, and the tartar sauce calmed down the Cajun spice. He also handed us an extra shrimp salad. My wife's trout was great if just barely overcooked. Typical limited SF parking problem, best bet is along the golf course a block to the north. Bathrooms were clean.

I was really hoping that we were finding a hidden gem when we happened upon this seafood restaurant in a neighborhood we aren’t usually in. There was a very long line of people waiting, and the friendly staff offered us a free glass of house wine, which was nice. Unfortunately, the meal didn’t meet expectations. Clam chowder was not good — gray, uncreamy, mostly tasting of overcooked potato. The salmon was mediocre and the side dishes were all underseasoned or overcooked. The fried shrimp and Parmesan halibut were not bad but didn’t justify the price or the long wait. It did seem popular with a slightly more elderly crowd, but just not a fit for my family.

Complementary wine while you wait… Need, I say more? This cozy corner spot is in demand almost every evening, because of the delicious seafood, the charming atmosphere, and the free wine. I’ve been here two times now, and I would say that. I love the crab cakes and the Parmesan Halibut. Friends in my party. Had the shrimp Louie salad the salmon and the delicious chocolate cake for dessert.. you really can’t go wrong. They’ve been around since the 1970s that tells you something.
