When people say the food is good, they mean the food is good. But when I say chef Toby's food is GOOD, I mean you can taste the potency of the flavors, the presentation is colorful and enticing, and the atmosphere of his pop-ups, events, and store-front.

Pacific Smoke has always been a great choice. While the menu offers some variety and specials, two standouts are always available: the avocado toast and the banana bread - easily the best I’ve ever had.
Based on the hours of operation, I drop by for either a late breakfast or lunch, but always get some extra banana bread to share with my family and eat in the morning the next day. Occasionally, they’ll do a special cookout and plates for it which is always nice because the chef cooks up some special bbq for that!

I was thrilled to have found this place. It's inside Merkado's restaurant, so would be easily missed. I saw the sign on the sidewalk and wanted to go check it out. So glad I did because they have the best mochi muffins and banana bread! There were a few flavors of the mochi muffins, and I ended up getting the pineapple and ube coconut. They were airy with the perfect texture, right amount of sweetness, and so flavorful! I was in love! The banana bread was also the best! I'm really picky with banana bread because I make pretty good banana bread myself, but this place is pretty darn close or even better! There were also cookies and other pastries, which I will definitely try next time. I came during lunchtime and also tried their katsu chicken. It was delicious! Even my kids approved ?. Meat was tender, moist, and tasty. I had a chat with Chef Toby and he said he just started and will expand his menu once the place is more known. I am hoping it will be soon because this place looks promising! Right now, they have a couple of items for breakfast and lunch specials that change every week.
