They are the only place in Chinatown that has fresh live fish from the ocean!
Of all the fish markets on this street and nearby within Chinatown, this is my go-to place- hands down. For whatever reason, staff at other fish markets are very impatient boarder on rude; however, staff here are very nice and friendly and explains to me all sort of questions about the source of the fish of different types and recommend me how to cook the fish.Overall, Highly recommended. Also, one of the fun part of visiting places like this: you never know what to expect - since what they sell is depending on what the fishermen catch. I see new species for me to try out every other month. So much fun!
Handed me a bloody bag of fish that wasn’t properly degutted. Never again.
This place is a total rip off. They cheat their customers money by putting an extra tea mug inside the bag that I bought so the bag weighed heavier and they could charge more money. This is an old trick that they did in China all the time and I am so ashamed of them for doing this to customers at San Francisco Chinatown. I will not buy their seafood again. Check your bags before you pay.
Such a great Pacific Street Seafood spot! They even sell fresh fish in there. There is plenty of in their free private lot and it's outdoor seating. The prices are reasonable too.
