it was my first time trying this spot & I was underwhelmed! it's a good spot for drinks & a night out but not good for dinner & having a conversation. it's very loud & dark inside making it difficult to really converse. the rock cod taco was fine. the fish itself was good but the tortilla was cold & thick. I know they are corn tortillas which is great since gluten free individuals could eat the tacos here but I just really wasn't a fan of the texture. the veggies on top also didn't taste too fresh

I'd give 4-5 stars for just food and drinks since that was definitely delicious. Ordered the pancakes and chilaquiles (pictured), chips and salsa which were yum, and a marg. Reason for the 3 star is I have a service dog with me and the manager (or one of the staff) came up to explain to me that the dog needs to not bark, not be in the aisle, on the ground, etc. My service dog was not making any noise, not in the aisle, and I placed her on the ground once he asked. He was incredibly offensive and rude (you can tell he just wanted to make it known that he wanted to remove the dog if any small thing were to occur). I've not had a single experience like this in SF where the manager or staff comes at me in that way. Totally fine if you want to let me know to place the dog on the ground (it was more conducive to have her in the booth since there was no room at my feet, super small table) but drop the attitude and ego.

Love Love loved it! Padrecito was perfect. We started with chips and guacamole and it came with 4 additional salsas and dipping sauces. The habanero was spicy! Awesome! We also ordered the gorditas de picadillo, my girlfriend was nervous about it being fried but in the end nothing was left. Our entrees were spot on. And the waitress nailed it with our drinks and helped us tweak the cocktails to exactly what we wanted. Great neighborhood place! Highly recommend for casual excellent Mexican food.

A fantastic brunch spot in Cole Valley! Experience: I was seated immediately. I did not have to wait long for a table on a Saturday. WOW! The service was fine, nothing to rave about. Food: The food and drinks were fantastic. My friend and I both go the sopes de machaca. My friend got hers without eggs. The pancakes were the star of the show. They're made from polenta and gave the pancakes a denser texture. These pancakes were a nice change from the usual buttermilk pancakes. Super delicious, I highly recommend.

Had a lovely time! Easy to grab outdoor seating. Pancakes were delicious and beautifully presented. Ceviche was fresh and delicious. Chips and salsa were also fresh. It's a bit cold outside on the North side of the building since there's no sun. Service was fast and friendly

Pretty solid and a little pricy. Their tortilla chips are a highlight. Thick yet somehow light enough and very crispy. These qualities make for a great plate of chilaquiles. We also tried some enchiladas which were quite good as well. Be prepared for a bit of a wait on weekends but you can always kill that time getting a drink at Finnegan's Wake or something.

Honest review: the food is average, small portioned, and overpriced but the vibes are good I went for a neighborhood walk and felt hungry, so my partner and I decided to have dinner here (a Wednesday night). We ordered the: - Padrecito cocktail $13 - La Cops Verde cocktail $14 - Cod tacos $17 - Enchiladas de Res $21 - Rice $7 These prices seem "fine for SF" but the portions were SMALL. I could not believe the rice was $7! It was literally smaller than 1 cup. For rice??? Appalling. The enchiladas were also very small and not that special, but $21 oh boy. Anyways, the saving graces were the cocktails (La Copa Verde was delicious - not too sweet) AND their music was on point. They were playing 90s/00s hits like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Destinys Child, Diddy, etc but for a Wednesday night the vibes weren't worth the $$$ average tasting dinner. I would not come here for a weekday night for dinner. May be worth the $$$ on a weeknight. I'll probably only come back for just happy hour.

10/5 PANCAKES DE PLATANO!!! So fluffy and moist, yet still with the satisfying cornmeal texture. The caramel and mango/berry sauces on top are the perfect touch. Make sure you order this!!! The hash is also EXCELLENT - a really delicious savory flavor. The potatoes are cooked perfectly. 5/5 service as well. Shoutout to Aziza - a superstar! So friendly and had excellent recommendations. Last note: they have coffee but no espresso options, so you are free to order coffee from a nearby shop (there's one right next door) and bring it in if you'd like. But I loved their coffee and you get unlimited refills!!

This was right in the middle of a very trendy area and I could see locals as well as tourist wanting to visit this area. We did not initially come to this area to eat at this restaurant but after we tried to eat at the restaurant we wanted to, they were only offering Seafood on Sunday evening and we weren't in the mood for seafood. We walked across the street to this location. Sadly I appreciate refills on Diet Coke and this location does not offer that option. Small portions but the food did taste good.

I have to be honest, I wanted to go to Zazie's that morning but I had also heard about Padrecito brunch. Zazie's was full so down the street I went. And I'm SO HAPPY I went. Padrecito was delicious, and unique. The guacamole was delish, but I was especially thankful for the chips. I liked that they weren't super hard. They were thin but not too thin. And salty but not too salty. (P.s. I definitely recommend Padrecito's guacamole over Lolo's in the mission -- but not knockin' on Lolo's (Lolo is amazing for other reasons.)) My spicy Bloody Mary was definitely spicy. Could have gotten the regular one I think. However still great. The winner was the Pancakes De Platano. It was a blend of polenta-platano, mixed berry compote, mango mascarpone and cajeta caramel. It was sweet, flavorful and in some odd way, still fresh! I would go back for those pancakes in a heart beat.

On food alone, Padrecito is 4 stars. I had the breakfast burrito, which comes with pork belly, eggs, cheese, potatoes, and a side of guac and salsa. Everything worked well together, had a hint of smoky flavor, and was well-portioned. I also had a side of guac and chips, which were very fresh and also good value. This is where the good part ends. Everything was going well for this place until I got the bill. $5 for a club soda, and they charged me for two! (despite not sharing that they only had bottles and the refills weren't complimentary). I get that not all places have this on tap, but at least give a heads up. I don't know if this was the fault of the bartender, or this is common practice, but either way it left a bad taste in my mouth. Not sure if I'll return because of that.

4.5 stars - everything was good! really liked the huevos rancheros, would def get those again. The manchego salad with fava beans was also good. We liked sitting outside and that they have heat lamps. Service was fast and kind.

Bit pricey, but the food, the service, and the atmosphere are all great. I do wish the seats were more comfortable, but they're not bad enough to drag the whole thing down to four stars.

Vibe and interior is awesome... Jalapeño Cheddar Biscuits with honey butter: Must try! Pancakes De Platanos: Tastes just as good as the presentation looks. The batter has a cornbread-like texture that's delicious! Mocktail:cucumber, jalapeño,agave and tonic water was super refreshing

such yummy food. We were there for brunch and i had their chilaquiles and my husband had their pancakes. Both the dishes looked and tasted amazing. Serving was also quick. We ended up at this place because of an hour long wait at Zazie, so glad we did :)
