There are not enough stars to describe the experience. The food was not only incredible but the presentation was beautiful. The service was magical from the hot towels to the goodie bag you go home with. The space is fabulous and I would go back in a heartbeat ?
Black trumpet trout was delicious. Dulse seaweed cocktail was interesting. Oyster ice cream was shockingly good, about as sweet as a corn chowder but simultaneously a clam chowder.
Went here for my belated birthday. The space was beautiful. I really loved the service, from the waiters, to the sommelier, to the host. And the wine list was outstanding.However, I just really couldn't enjoy the food. I am a seafood fanatic and try unique and innovative seafood restaurants wherever I go. But the dishes just weren't there for me. The oyster ice cream I barely took 1 bite of (total miss), and in general the dishes seemed like they were trying to hard to innovate but just not hitting the mark.

We had a wonderful Valentines Day dinner here. From the minute we walked in, we were so warmly greeted and made to feel right at home. The space is absolutely gorgeous!We had asked for bar seating and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the very talented bartender do his work all the while providing top-notch service while serving us our meal.Everything we chose from the mènu was seafood based ( there are a few vegetarian options) and I can’t tell you how much we enjoyed the creative uses of the different seafood items. From sardines, to skate cheeks to back cod to scallops, it was all delightful.

We did the pescatarian tasting menu front and center of the zephyr of a kitchen and the experience was perfection and what S.F. was, is and needs to continue to offer. Bravo!
Sit at the bar! Food is phenomenal. Very creative and flavorful. The rest of my party did the drink tasting menu and are still raving about it to this day. Service was as expected for this caliber of restaurant aside from them missing not one, but TWO dishes we ordered. Disappointed because it was the milk bread dish and oysters I was excited to try. A little dark for my taste in atmosphere, but still very nice! Plus reasonably priced for the quality.Parking: Wish they would have valet!

Aphotic is a 1-star Michelin restaurant with an all seafood tasting menu, perfect for pescatarians. The restaurant is beautifully appointed, the ceiling representing the hull of a ship... and dark intimate setting. Service was fantastic - very attentive, though somewhat off sync in their delivery timing as you would typically see in a Michelin-starred restaurant. That being said, who cares? Our server was excellent and everyone was very nice. As far as the dishes, I thought some were better than others, but TBH, nothing stood out in flavor or taste where I feel they were especially memorable. Not sure if I'm being unfair but I expected an elevated dining experience in ambiance, service and taste, and thought it fell a little short in the flavor/taste experience.

We had some hiccups in the beginning but the staff was overly accommodating. Once we started our meal everything was served quickly. The experience was impeccable and I will definitely be back when they reopen in February. (They will be adding a non alcoholic pairing which is incredibly exciting).Overall the food was delicious and felt very comfortable with the amount given. My favorite dish was the Scallops. The scallop was cooked perfectly and paired well with the sides. From beginning to end I was impressed with how well the food tasted and how the meal progressedI can’t say it enough but the service here was top notch. I felt very taken care of and everyone was incredibly attentive during the course of our meal. For the cost and quality of food/service I would highly recommend checking them out!
