We are much older than the target demographic of this restaurant—at least a generation up on anyone else we saw...And yet the waitress who dealt with us memorably kind.... Brought us printed menus and took our orders personally vs making us use phones and QR codes... And the food was tasty and handsomely presented (especially my wife's huevos rancheros). So all props for a good Saturday brunch experience.
The vibe here has completely changed and it breaks my heart. Get rid of the QR code ordering and bring back the customer service, & please turn off the TVs playing commercials; like... what the?! Food was not as good as it used to be.
Great Atmosphere! The food was delicious and cocktails 🍹 I definitely recommend this place

Don’t let the menu fool you! This is all style no substance. The service is good and the atmosphere is decent, but the food was decidedly subpar. Oversalted , and feels weighed down. Was not cooked with love. You can do much better in SF.

This place is definitely a vibe, great spot on Union Street if you’re in the mood for drinks. The cocktails were delicious (loved the piña colada!), but smaller than expected, they do have those giant drinks if you’re going all in.
On the food we tried the fried rice and island breakfast, both were solid, but nothing standout. The real draw here is the fun, tropical decor and unique energy that sets it apart from the usual Union Street spots.

Ok so to be honest I thought this was a cafe version of the Palm court, it is not. That said they did offer some tasty offerings. I found the prices for the portion sizes a lil high. This place seems to be better advertised as a party bar with tiki style group drink bowls (also pricey). So if you just wanna see the game and have some drinks with more than a couple friends this is your place. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. The day we went it was just the kitchen staff n bar tender so it took a bit of patience so heads up, maybe call ahead n see or sit at the bar like we did.

I came to visit Palm House ON MY ACTUAL BIRTHDAY when I made the reservation I included that in my request no greeting no happy birthday from the staff (poor customer service #1). Immediately getting there I was excited because the place WAS cute! But the issue was once seated I was told everything was self served so no waiter. When my food came out it was cold and the seasoning on the fries was not there like I ordered and the drink was like juice barely any alcohol taste to it and when I paid for my bill I totally forgot to tip! I’m a huge tipper even the circumstance of having to order my own food and then just bringing it to me. But I was in a rush for my movie date so I left abruptly. Do you know 2 days after leaving SF and going home the charge their own tip to my card when they processed all the bills! I was pissed because not only was the service garbage and the people were stale in energy I was over charged for my meal by them deliberately taking a tip. Terrible experience because I understand me not tipping but it wasn’t my intent but to make my birthday and experience where I can’t trust this establishments professionalism that was too much too bad I will never go back! And the chicken sandwich was MID! nothing spectacular about it just some gentrified kids in the neighborhood over charging for lack luster experience.

The staff made my birthday special! DJ was fun and food and drinks were great. Had a blast, love Palm House
Cute, nice small bites and happy hour deals… but you will be incredibly uncomfortable the entire time, the chairs are so narrow, any hips or booty that aren’t tiny will be pinched and in pain. If you are remotely curvaceous just don’t come because they clearly don’t want you there :/
(I just knooooow some thoughtless narrow hipped male owner/manager ordered those chairs. Whats with f&b and higher ups that don’t even attempt to get a second opinion before making bad choices on serving ware and decor)
