I have a problem with people lying to sell bread. We went in there and asked if it was fresh ( maybe made in the morning, most bakeries do) the man behind the counter assured us that everything was made fresh the same day. He lied! After buying $40 dollars worth of bread, almost all except for the semita' was dry and sugar was dissolved in the relampago. I would say this bakery is hit or miss.

Best Salvadoran sweet bread in all of California. They have a small parking lot on the left of the business.

I went to pan lido because they said they had tamales so I bought 3 at $4 each but they didn’t told me they will be cold as ice I went for lunch I end up back at work with ice cold tamales that’s why one star I will definitely not going back to that place not worth it

I was very excited to try this place. It would bring me back to my hometown, El Salvador, where this name is made out of respect. Instead I found a corner dirty place with a couple of empty trays in the case...so sad, but I still wanted to give it a try, one of the 2 entitled women at the counter (owners?) said "This is all you get", Definitely not going back.

One of my coworkers brought pineapple cookies from this place. They were delicious. I sent my partner to get us some pan dulce there a few days ago and the place was closed when on Yelp and Google maps it says it should be open. Not reliable and just a waste of time. It's a shame because those cookies were so good but I guess I'll never be able to try their pan dulce. P.S. My partner asked a neighbor next door to pan lido about their hours and he said that they open whenever they want and their young generation don't care about the business.

Oh Pan Lido, what happened? Over priced, stale and just not good. Wouldn't mind the price if the pan was still good. Pastelito de piña with no piña and the little cupcake ones were salty? Off day?

Just want to say that I’ve been going to this bakery for years! My mom and I had placed an order for 400 pieces of pastries a week prior to pick up. Have in mind that we live about 2.5 hours from SF. We pick up thinking they had given us the 400 pieces come to find out they only gave us 295 pieces and still had the AUDACITY to charge us for the full amount! They lost my business and the rest of my family members as well! I will never step foot in this bakery again.

One of the best selection of salvadorian pastries in the city

They had almost all the Salvadoran pastries you can imagine.

When I want authentic Salvadorian pastries I come to Pan Lido in the mission district. Their pastries are so good and I always come out with a big box full of delicious goodies.

They have terrible customer service and their bread is highly priced! Also keep an eye out how they charge you! You take a couple of pieces of bread and all of sudden your total is $20. I notice how they calculate everything and then bam hit you with $30 dollars out of no where! Ask for an itemized receipt.

*** In Short *** Not the quesadilla salvadorena you're looking for. *** In Depth *** Having spent summers in El Salvador as a kid, I grew to really love quesadilla salvadorena: a pastry akin to a cheesy pound cake, and one I've tried to find locally for quite some time now. There's actually a surprisingly vibrant Salvadorean community here in SF, with a handful of shops offering Salvadorean pastries, these included! Stopped by Pan Lido to try them out the other week, and, well, wasn't really sold on their take of my childhood favorite: these were lightly sweet (a good thing), but lacking in texture (a bit too soft) and cheesy flavor. ***Accessibility Info*** Venue - Not accessible without help, unfortunately, with a single (short) step to get inside the business. Once inside, however, there's enough space to get around, with your standard height bakery display cases.
