Service was good and so was the food. Had all the regular dim sum stuff. Everything was delicious. My only complaint is that they add gratuity to the bill. (I just like to have the choice of how much I want to tip based on service, not be told how much I will be tipping)

The waitress and manager both declined to accept Restaurant.com certificate, citing "the restaurant has a new management." Shouldn't they take down their listing from Restaurant.com, which is stil actively listed, or honor the certificate? They have a practice of automatically adding tips (aka 15% service charge) to the bill, which is completely fine in and of itself. But the waitress made a statement something sounded like "... [please] include tips ...." when she presented the bill. I understood as she was asking me to be sure to add tips to the bill. I give credit to the manager who said that tips was automatically added when I questioned him.The two incidents leave a bad taste in my mouth, unfortunately.

One of the nicest dimsum restaurants ive been to. With great service with superb food, my friends, family and I had a nice birthday dinner here. Nice place with music and karaoke.

Started the new year with dim sum at Paramount Superstars. Arrived around 11am and plenty of tables available, but tables started filling up around noon. Took a while for our orders to arrive. Some of our items: shrimp and chive dumplings (wrapper too soft and whole thing broke apart when picking up, would've liked more chives); steamed tripe (hubs likes this one with the sauce on the side); salt and pepper tofu (arrived hot and perfectly salty); Chinese donut rice roll (ok but donut wasn't hot so it was kinda hard); Shanghai dumplings (wrapper too thick and not soupy on the inside); green tea Mochi (liked that they were warm when they arrived, not too sweet and good way to end meal). Positives - restaurant is clean and plenty of tables without feeling cramped. Negatives - some items kinda pricey and tea is $1.50/person.

My family lived on 12th Ave near Geary years ago. I was only 1 or 2, but they did most of their shopping on Clement Street. Apparently, that area was the first Chinatown in San Francisco. Todays adventure brought us back to the area, and according to them much has changed. We decided to have dim sum for lunch. We took the elevator up to the large banquet hall. For now, they do not roll carts around. You order at the table and it is made fresh which is sooo good and better! We had the beef chow fun, shu mai, shrimp har gow, char siu bao, Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce, and egg cuatard tarts. Everything was delicious...though my parents said the flavor was different from their Hawaii spot. Well, things are not going to taste the same as where you go to, every place is different. The service is attentive but a little serious. We were in OG land because everyone spoke Chinese except for us...and the two Jewish ladies...LOL! Definitely worth checking out, though I would not use the elevator...the ride down was a little scary! LOL!

Very friendly service and big dim sum menu. It's on the second floor and there's a small rickety elevator immediately to the left when you enter the restaurant. It's an older run down restaurant but bright and airy. We got steamed ribs and pumpkin over rice noodles, sticky rice, walnut shrimp, chestnut pan fried cake, salty bones/veggie porridge, steamed custard buns and coconut red bean dessert. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Reasonable prices.

Out of all the things I've tried, the noodle roll is the best. They freshly roll their noodle rolls. The noodle is thin and stuffed with lots of filling (unlike other places with thick noodle rolls and less filling). I got the Four Special Noodle roll where they had 4 different kinds (1 shrimp roll, 1 beef roll, 1 mushroom roll, and 1 bbq pork roll). I like the mushroom roll the best. I do not recommend getting items with shrimp in it. The table next to us returned their shrimp dumpling because "the shrimp wasn't fresh". I have to agree with them. We got the pork dumpling (which has a piece of shrimp in it) and shrimp was hard and over cooked.

Excellent service on a Sunday night dinner. Complimentary half of chicken, great taste and texture. We have clean up the table for a family size of 4 with 4 main dishes, soup and fired rice.

Start going to this place for dim sum and dinner since their soft opening. The quality of their dishes is advancing as time goes. The Pork Soup Dumpling was salty in the beginning and gave them my feedback. After fine-tuning their receipt for the past weeks, the saltness has brought down to the level that has good favor but not overly power with salt. I am very impressed with some of their dim sum such as the P/F Special Pork Buns, the dough is soft, spongy, and crisp. The dough for the Steamed Pork band w/VG has similar texture but without the crisp. The steamed Chicken w/Fish Maw is their specialty. This is a traditional dim sum from the old days that not too many dim sum restaurants would off that. The selection of the sweet and desserts is standard; however, the taste is slightly different than other restaurants. The custard filling in the Egg Custard Buns has a good flavorful egg taste. The mochi are soft and smooth. I often ask for some special dishes to be prepared for dinner. The wait and kitchen staff are helpful and try to accommodate the requests as possible. The braised duck with taro in plum sauce is tasty. The plum sauce has a good balance of the plum and other seasonings. The crispy stuffed chicken with sticky rice is incredible. I expected the sticky rice inside of the chicken would be oily since the chicken will be deep fried but the sticky rice turns out to be the same as it is served on its own. The technique is how the dish is prepared. This restaurant is one of my favorite restaurants.

TLDR: - Don't know what to get? Try the shrimp dishes like the shrimp dumpling or honey walnut shrimp. The shrimp is big and have a nice, fresh, snap to it - Great service! Very attentive to how fast your order comes out After a very eventful night out the night before, we decided to stop by this place last minute because we just woke up, it was 1 o'clock, and we were craving dim sum. They didn't have the classic dim sum carts going around it may have been a good thing because everything that came out was fresh. We ordered: - honey walnut shrimp (Favorite) - steamed chicken feet - pork & shrimp siu mai - crispy pork belly - shrimp dumpling - Chrysanthemum tea Of all the dishes, the shrimp ones were the tastiest. The shrimp in the honey walnut shrimp and shrimp dumpling were huge and had a nice snap to it. The CHRISpy pork belly was also pretty satisfying but a bit on the dry side. The pork and shrimp siu mai were the least memorable of all the dishes. I felt that the shrimp was a bit overcooked but the flavor (as with all the other dishes) was there. The service here is amazing! I can't count how many times they refilled our tea and checked when our order was coming. Everyone was really nice and there was a cute doggo that greeted us on the way in and shown us the way out! We will definitely come back here earlier in the day and try out their other dishes.

Decided to give them a try, since the ownership apparently hand changed again. The Chinese name has changed many times, but they retained the Paramount Superstars name. This was formerly Russian Bear and House of Banquet for those native San Franciscans. Upon entering you will go up to the 2nd floor dining room to be served, but I'm not quite sure if the downstairs dining room will ever be utilized. I noticed the change in management and staff, as many familiar faces migrated over from Ming Yuan in Daly City. We ordered Spare Ribs, Pork Dumpling, Beef Tripe, Chicken Feet, 4 Star Rice Rolls, and the Beef Pan Fried Noodle. The food was good and acceptable for San Francisco quality, but I noticed they don't steam the dim sum until you place an order. The Beef Pan Fried Noodle showed signs of wok hay, which showed how much flavor their wok has. As for the ambience, it's very dated from the 1990s and can use from TLC. Hopefully business picks up soon and they can remodel one day. As for the service, they were very attentive to refill our tea and take away our empty dishes. As many restaurants are having staffing issues these days, they didn't have any shortage of workers here. Overall a good place to get dim sum in San Francisco, but parking in this neighborhood can be tough especially on weekends.

Great food and friendly atmosphere. Always a good time when we are in the City. We ordered lots of food. Took it home for leftovers.

We took our out of state visitors here and were given a huge table at the window. The food was really good, the service, spot on excellent and the cost was very reasonable.

This just opened back up and the food was delicious! Will definitely come back and eat here soon. There was no line for dinner, but dim sum had a short wait for now. Parking in the area is difficult during lunch hours.
