What caught my eye is the long, tall wooden shelf behind the main counter — an aesthetic display of variegated olive oils and cans of sauce. It’s not unlike how certain high-end bars put on the ritz with a flourish of spirits on display in different designs and sizes. The front counter holds containers of fresh pastas and sauces. The industrial space, with its high ceilings, doubles as a lunch bistro: a factory that makes pasta and a place where you can eat what’s just been produced. Not unlike living on a dairy farm and drinking the milk still warm from the morning. I shall be back , again and again !
We were lured in by the gorgeous storefront, no-BS aesthetic, the cool font, and of course the fresh pasta.
In reality, the place really falls short.
The pasta was so al dente it was hard and gritty.
The wine pours are stingey.
The service is friendly but as bare bones as can be.
Two of us spent almost $100 end left the restaurant hungry and pissed off.

Eight slivers of ravioli at entree pricing does not make an entree

The pork sugo and spaghetti and meatballs were the best pastas ever!! We also ordered a pasta that we didn’t eat as much of and the wait staff replaced it with a different flavor without us having to ask. great service! highly recommend

The Pasta Supply Company is an artisanal pasta maker and restaurant in the Mission district. They have house made pasta and prepared sauces and meal kits available for purchase, as well as a full service restaurant. I recently had dinner and LOVED the unpretentious atmosphere, LOVED the unique and flavorful pasta, and was impressed by the attentive service. The arugula (rocket) salad with artichokes was terrific, and the crispy Parmesan garlic bread was beyond great. We had the lasagna of the day, the hot mess spaghetti and meatballs, and the sweet corn ravioli. Three of us shared and devoured each dish! My only criticism was the lackluster desert choices. We tried the olive oil panna cotta, and even the inclusion of ruby red grapefruit, couldn’t add enough flavor and dimension to the uninspired desert. Regardless, I’m looking forward to many return visits to this shining gem of a restaurant in the Mission.

Great pasta, too much carbs with not enough protein options in the menu. Interiors can have better acoustics, hard to listen people in the group.

Came here with a small group and sat by the window. A couple of us ordered and then waited not too long for the line to make the pastas. Everything was delicious. 3 dishes kept 4 adults full for lunch.

Ate at the restaurant twice. I thought the first time was an off day or I got unlucky but after the second visit, I’m certain about my initial review. Why is every single dish cooked at the restaurant under-seasoned?? Very confusing. Pasta unseasoned. Sauces unseasoned. How is that possible? Genuinely perplexed :(
