The deep dish pizza here was just as good as any I have had in Chicago. The sauce was excellent, and had a very fresh tomato flavor. The crust is thin-style (like what you would get at Lou’s), and was done well. Unfortunately, service was definitely a bit lacking. It took 30 minutes to get my water for example, even though the restaurant was relatively empty.
Pizzas are very good but the interior needs some serious improvements. It's cold and has terrible lighting and colors. All tables are wobbly and the surfaces don't feel clean either. I suggest doing a proper interior redesign to make it more inviting.
While we enjoyed the pizza, the service was less than stellar. There was only one waitress covering the whole restaurant (including takeouts) and she was clearly stretched thin. When ordering we selected the house wine for $26, but when we received the bill they charged $31. After talking with the waitress she tried to blame us for the mistake, and was unwilling to rectify it. Some nonsense about an “updated menu” that was never explained to us.
