Solid spot for breakfast in Haight. The huevos ahogados were good but small in portion

Probably the nicest staff I met in my visit to SF! Amazing food too with many good vegetarian options.

Fantastic. If you put something on a menu called “Birriaquiles” there’s a 100% chance I’m ordering it, and it very much delivered.

Disappointed by the food, atmosphere, and service at paula’s cafe.
FOOD: I got the breakfast combo and found every element of it bad - the eggs were stringy, sausage had an off texture, and the french toast was extremely stale. I had to cover anything with excessive ketchup/maple syrup and force it down. To top it off, the portions were really small and I left quite hungry.
SERVICE: The service was not great. We made reservations but our table was not ready for 15 mins after we got there. The server forgot to give us utensils with our meal and did not refill our water. At the end, I was overcharged for the coffee and side of eggs. That said the waiter was nice and seemed to be trying his best.
VIBE: The atmosphere was crowded and fairly noisy. Might be better at a less peak time (we went for sunday brunch)
Overall, based on other reviews, I suspect their mexican style breakfasts are better. That said, I would not go back.

Foods decent and the coffee is good. The horchata Latte is prob the best coffee ever but if you just getting a cup of coffee and don’t have cash don’t even bother cuz they have a $10 minimum for using cards now

Excellent service and the staff is so friendly and kind! Paula’s Cafe has such a warm, welcoming vibe, and everything from the food to the atmosphere is top-notch. A perfect spot for a relaxing meal or coffee break. The breakfast burrito is my favorite. You must try this place, it’s become a new regular spot for me!

The BEST breakfast I've had in a long time. Fresh squeezed orange juice, perfectly seasoned breakfast potatoes, and delicious horchata. We will definitely be back!

Overall pleasant experience & cozy spot for brunch when you're looking for more than the typical eggs & pancakes. I enjoyed the birriaquilles and sitting at the window while appreciating the people watching.
