An incredible authentic and intimate music experience. Excellent vegetarian food. This place is special
What an awesome little find this place was! Small place with limited seating and limited menu. Big on flavor and entertainment. Super fun date spot! 💞 Ordered the Andean sampler and golden pan-fried plantains. The sampler was fantastic! So much flavor and variety of texture. Depending on your appetite, it could be enough for one person, or split by two if less hungry. The plantains were good, but felt a bit flat to me; they were missing something and the dip to plantain ratio was off; needed more plantains. The night I was there included live music. There is a $15 charge per person on entertainment, so factor that in to your visit.
It was a wonderful night of culture, music, food and amazing hospitality Thank you we will be returning soon!
Great entertainment I was there for New Year's Eve. We had non-stop entertainment
The food was great, we had a sharing platter that was perfect for 2. The plantain was exceptional!
Great service and great food
A very unique legacy san francisco venue. A great authentic dinner, interesting music, native stage performers and audience dancing. It was super fun!
Food was really good. Loved the entertainment. It is a unique and highly enjoyable experience. This was a highlight of my trip to SF.
What a rare treasure this place is! I never knew that Bolivian vegan food was a concept until stumbling upon this gem. The music was cancelled on the Sunday evening that we showed up, so we had a quiet and delicious vegan dinner. The ambiance felt like someone's home and the food was cooked with love and care.
Great Bolivian food! I’ve come here many times over the years and love when they have live music. They offer vegan, gluten free and even raw food options!

Overall (4.7/5). Pena Pachamama is a cute place tucked away on Powell, with the spot itself being a historic location, although it has been under current ownership for ~25 years. As soon as you step in, you are greeted with a very warm, cultural ambience, tastefully decorated with the style of the Andes (5/5). Service was impeccable and fast, the owners themselves are part of the performers on Fridays and Saturdays, performing authentic Andean style music (4.9/5). Food was good, reminiscent of the Andean region with a lot of whole vegetables and freshly cooked ingredients, albeit a little less on the flavorful end (4.4/5).
This place is a gem! Food was delicious! Music was unbelievable! Couldn’t believe there weren’t more locals. We will definitely be visiting again and this will be on our list again for sure!
Incredible gourmet raw food… delicious!
Incredible place! We went there for dinner and a music show tonight and left with a huge impression. The food was nice and cozy, like a hot homemade meal. But what really impressed us was this place's music, dances, and history. Although we are pretty shy, we felt really included. The owners are lovely, showing they really care about the place, value its history, and want to share their culture. Will definitely come back next time we’re in San Francisco.
The vegan lasagna was excellent and the cheesecake hit the spot afterwards! The live music was quite an entertaining experience
