I went on Sunday and was quite surprised to see a nearly empty restaurant. The other people at a table were actually members of the band and the dancers. I am glad I stayed, the band is amazing. Bolivian music, then an Egyptian song, even riffed some Italian music when a family of Italian tourists came in. The owner is a charming, sweet lady with tons of great stories to share. The food was so good, I'm still thinking about it days later. I got one of the sampler platters....
I went here with my boyfriend for anniversary and it was so beautiful. I am vegetarian and he’s Bolivian. Vegan and gluten free options - the food was fantastic! My husband and I had the lasagna, portobello sloppy Jose burger, and the hazelnut chocolate mousse. We are visiting from out of town and we will be back the next time we are in town. The place was also conveniently located in North Beach and really the only vegan restaurant outside of Indian food.
