Everything about this restaurant was exceptional - food, staff, choice - the only drawback is how the outside weather affects the inside. It was fairly cold outside and with the constant in and out of people through the main door - the arctic blasts were to say the least - unwelcome. I can’t imagine there isn’t a way around this structural dilemma or a way to add some radiant heat - but diners should be aware - if you’re near the door - wear your woolies.
Had a great dinner at Pearl 6101! We grabbed the chips & dip while waiting for our table — super good and tasty, definitely worth it. Then we had the Japanese sweet potato as an appetizer, which was insanely good.

Our favorite restaurant in SF! My husband & I are regulars here. It’s an incredibly well rounded spot - the perfect blend of wonderful atmosphere, well prepared food, great drinks, and attentive service. I recommend making a reservation if you want to be sure of a table - we always walk in but sometimes wait for a while at the bar tables outside (which is in itself a very pleasant experience…cocktails and delicious oysters while streetwatching). It feels like a neighborhood...
