Greek coffee was good. Strong but not too strong for me.

My partner had the veggie womelette and he absolutely loved it! The texture was good and had hashbrowns inside, which he enjoyed. The eggs were not too hard or overcooked.

Such a cute little spot!! Had the chicken sausage womelette, a waffle with Nutella and strawberries and a Greek coffee. Everything was SO delicious. The service was lovely. Everyone was very kind and informative.

Cute and spacious cafe with a wide selection of coffee / tea and food. I especially love their Greek coffee on a day I’m desperate for a lot of caffeine; it’s extremely strong / concentrated, similar to Turkish coffee. I’m not quite adapted to the flavor yet — or the large number of coffee grounds at the bottom — but it absolutely gets the job done after a long night. I haven’t been all that impressed by their food selection, but I do love how friendly and efficient the staff is! It’s a great spot for a quick caffeine stop before work.

People are very rude. The food is not tasty. I do not recommend it at all.

Extremely fast. Service is friendly. Coffee is just okay but worth the quick convenience. $6.50 for a medium cap with soy milk.

Extremely disappointed. This was my go to place for coffee when I needed it. Much preferred to give my money to Penelopes over the Starbucks nearby.
I always order the same thing (specialty latte, no additions), and it's always $7.00 or less. Already expensive but that's life these days.
I ordered my same order today and was charged $8.95!!! That's before tip which I usually do 20-25%. When I checked their website ($6.30) and online ($7.30) ordering they were both cheaper.
Not sure if this was a new change made today or if I got bamboozled. Either way, they lost a customer 😕

TLDR: stale croissants but decent coffee

I had two croissants and one wild berry iced latte. The berry latte was nice and not too sweet, I enjoyed the drink. The croissants were stale and not flaky at all. At almost $5 a piece, I would hope they would be fresh croissants.

The staff are really nice! I enjoyed the London fog that I ordered - it was just the right amount of sweetness :)

Great little spot with a cozy vibe. The Greek coffee was amazing—strong, smooth, and authentically made. You can tell they know what they’re doing. Friendly staff too. I’ll definitely be back!

Nice selection of breakfast burritos with a tater tot side, shaped like a waffle. Would try a womelette next time if I’m staying in the area.

Penelope's Coffee and Tea offers a delightful experience in terms of its beverages and culinary offerings. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the service, which was lackluster at best. The staff displayed a concerning level of indifference, marked by sluggish response times and an overall inattentiveness that detracted significantly from the otherwise enjoyable experience. Despite the excellence of the food and drink, the subpar service left much to be desired. Not only was I overcharged for coffee, but they also completely forgot to make the rest of our food order, leaving us waiting far longer than necessary. The lack of attention and oversight from the staff turned what could have been an enjoyable visit into a frustrating one, despite the promising flavors of the coffee itself. I hope they can get better staff because this place can be amazing but as of now ⭐️⭐️

We were greeted so warmly and given such a nice welcome as first time customers. They gave wonderful suggestions about the menu and explained everything so perfectly. Though menu items aren't labeled as such, as a vegan, I was able to find delightful options, such as the Avocado Toast - Avocado Delight and might I add that it was one of the most delicious avocado toast I've had. The cold brew, matcha, Womelette, and donut were spectacular. Wish we had a Penelope's in Sacramento! Can't wait to return!
