We had a group reservation for 30+ people and the service was flawless. On top of that, the food was amazing!! We were arriving later than we planned and they were able to stay open later for us with some flexibility. Its very clear that the people working there truly care about the service they provide and the reputation of the restaurant. Definately will come by whenever I’m in the area, it is that good :)

Abraham was fantastic and very attentive. We originally had 5:30 dinner reservation, but got out early and made it to happy hour. The food was delicious and was exactly what we were needing. Per Diem isn’t new, I’ve been to the original location on several occasions well before Covid times. I’m just happy they have a new location which is about a 3 min walk from my office. Come visit, sit outside and drink some of their delicious cocktails. Thank you Abraham for a great evening.

I hosted a group of 8 for a business dinner at Per Diem this past week. I thought the service was very good and our server bent over backwards to accommodate our group. The food was very good as well, I think everyone really enjoyed their meal. The nice thing about this place is, you feel very comfortable and the atmosphere is easy going and not too hyped up. Which allowed everyone to have a good conversation.
I am very happy Per Diem survived the pandemic. I had lunch with a friend and noticed other patrons were having work lunches. I appreciate the San Francisco dark wood ambience, my tri-tip sandwich was very good and the service was welcoming and relaxed.
Beautiful restaurant with lovely character and extremely kind staff! We came in for a group dinner and had a great experience. My favorite part was the bar drinks, so so good!

Upstairs when reserved, becomes a nice place for workplace happy hours and dinner parties. Location is very good. Service can be little better. But for Happy Hour it's great

Simply a beautiful venue, wonderful staff, and incredible options. There is too much good to write about this place, so I just say make a reservation and check it out! 5/5 no complaints.

Seems like they could use one more on the wait staff. Apps were long gone before we ordered entrees. Two entrees came out 15 minutes after the others. Great menu and atmosphere, nice place to relax and stay a while with our large group. A little more staff on hand would add to the experience
Dietary restrictions: Great variety on the menu for a large group with different restrictions. Some veg, some gluten free, some diary-free.

We discovered this restaurant by chance while getting lost in the streets of San Francisco, and what a nice surprise! The setting is very nice and the atmosphere relaxing. The food is delicious and the prices are quite affordable. A big plus for the extremely kind and attentive waiter, with whom we shared good times of laughter. He really took care of us. I highly recommend this place!

A very pleasant surprise for our family group of 3 on our first visit to Per Diem. Wonderfully charming ambience and warm lighting, with great wood and leather decor. We loved the service of our waiter (Juan) and the menu was great. We enjoyed everything we ordered, and had a very enjoyable evening. We will definitely return!!
First time dining here...was a bit disappointed based on other reviews. Took a while to even be recognized that we we waiting at the host stand, and it became clear that even with a 7 pm reservation, it felt like they were closing up for the night. Server/host was nice. Salads were good, entrees were passable....the special of halibut was not a very nice piece of fish...thin and therefore a little over cooked. Carrots as a “roasted vegetable” were no where near cooked....and I like them on the undercooked side, but you need to be able to pierce them with a fork. I would have liked this to be better, but perhaps it caters to a more daytime crowd, being in the financial district?
Amazing spot for a business dinner. Attentive but unobtrusive staff, really well prepared meals, and all very reasonably priced for such a nice place. Atmosphere was cozy without being too loud to hear. Loved it!
