The best Pho I have ever had. The chicken was so good. Was not too spicy. Has some spice to it but its delicious. I am so amazed.

Unfortunately, I was a fan of this place and had a good experience until today. Got my food and my plate had a live fly crawling in it. I will not be ordering here again.

Classic good pho. Beef was a bit too thick and there was too much green onion tbh

I haven't been to this restaurant, but I often order food from doordash at least once a month. Their five chicken over fried rice is very delicious, especially the fried rice, which is the best I have ever eaten in the

Not really a lot of indoor seating - like they clearly primarily a takeout spot. But still they brought my pho out and it was pretty standard. I'd come back I think..

Absolutely everything about this place was horrible. The ambience is bad, food was overcooked noodles with no flavour. And service was non existent. Definitely wouldn’t go here again. Waste of money

Don't confuse this Perilla with the other locations. Different owners. You want this location at 525 Haight.
They do a roaring take-out business, and you can always find a table or two of locals. The ambiance isn't most people's first date material, rather small groups of friends enjoying reasonably priced Vietnamese favorites, like garlic noodles, five spice chicken, and prawns with vermicelli noodles.
You don't need rez, you don't need to dress up, you'll get excellent, friendly service. The deal is, you walk up to the counter on the left, order & pay. The right side will be full of aggressive food delivery guys waving their cell phones to get their orders to pick up. Time is money.
Anyway, Perilla will not disappoint.

Pho was mid. The sliced beef was thinly sliced and good. Noodles clumped together. Broth was pretty salty. No onions in the soup.

I got perilla catered for a party for about 50 people and it was a hit. We got a variety of different meats and veggie options for our guests and of course they all raved about the garlic noodles! They provided utensils, plates and even went out of their way to get us some serving utensils which was greatly appreciated. Would definitely order again for a large party so we can drown in trays of garlic noodles again

Flipped a coin and landed in Perilla. Can’t say I’m mad that it happened but it did and this is how it went. You walk into a huge open space place your order and find a seat. Cashier was helpful in explaining a couple choices but it is a very basic menu.- Five Spice Chicken w/ Garlic Noodles: the chicken has a crispy exterior that is awesome and is juicy on the inside. Garlic noodles are a little dry but when paired with the chicken no complaints.- Beef Combo Pho: Rare beef with Brisket. The Rare beef was very tender, along with the brisket. Broth was ok but oily. If the oil could be reduced that would be ideal.A place worth checking out if you’re on that part of haight street looking for 5spice chicken.
