We enjoyed the meal - food was good, not great. The draft beer selection was limited - I would have liked an amber beer but nothing on the menu. Service was slow but understandable during a busy time. Had to summon the waiter to take our order. First time at the Embarcadero location - would return. Best for us was proximity to the Commonwealth Club for an event.
What has happened to the food at Perry's?! Our lunch there this week was mediocre at best. Our entire table ordered salads; some were bland, and some -- including my iceberg wedge -- just didn't taste that good. Staff and ambiance are still classic and wonderful, but they need to up their game with their dishes or I won't go back.
Every Xmas, a few of us meet in SF for our annual holiday lunch. We're friends, retired and live in different places in the Bay Area. We take BART and prefer to get off at Embarcadero. What a delightful surprise as we went with Perry's this year!! The food, service, ambiance, value were perfect! We had a great time and will be back! With so many restaurants closed, it can be hard to find a good one for lunch. We're very pleased that Perry's was there for us. Happy Holidays and Thank You!!
We were seated it right away. Although we had requested a high top when we made the reservation that turned out not to be the best choice for our party. The host noted that and asked if we would prefer a booth food arrived quickly and correctly. Two of us ordered the burger, which to be honest, were a little bit undercooked based on our medium order, but were nevertheless delicious. We had a fun bonus because we received it next to a celebrity! If the staff knew who the celebrity was, they did not let on and conducted themselves as professionally as with any other table, which impressed us. Would recommend either the Embarcadero or the original location
Outstanding food. Good prices. We were seated in the bar area, very noisy. Other areas not so noisy. Good location near Ferry Building.
We always like it here for lunch and the bar is fun at night. On this occasion, the terrible smell that always seems to be present outside on Steuart St. was present in the restaurant as well and it took away from the experience quite a bit. Probably just a one-time thing, though. Usually it's a great place for lunch when you're in the Ferry Building/ Financial District part of the city.
I am a regular customer of this restaurant because it is only a 1 minute walk from our building. Unfortunately, in the past few months, the quality of the food has deteriorated significantly, as well as a number of inexperienced waiters, not even one of whom can speak English, which has made me remove it from my list of favorite restaurants. Today, my wife and I went to this restaurant for lunch and we were disappointed in every way. The hamburgers are of poor quality and bad. I am sorry, but I have to give the lowest possible score.

Perry’s is one of my favorite places! I always order the same three things: the French onion soup, the beet arugula and spinach salad with goat cheese croquettes, and an espresso martini. If you’ve seen my other posts, you know I’m a sucker for a good French onion soup- and I can honestly say this place knows what they’re doing!

Food and drinks were good and arrived pretty quick. Our server was very attentive and professional. Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely return :)
We only stopped by for a drink today, but usually it is a nice place to have a drink and a bite of food in downtown SF. Reasonable happy hour menu and pretty good burgers.

Very nice restaurant and views are amazing if you sit outside or inside by the window. I got lucky there was street parking. I made reservations but wasn't full when arrived. As soon as I ordered food it started getting packed. Food was good. Old fashioned was ok. Try it out if in the neighborhood
Being dairy intolerant makes dining difficult. The wait people at Perry's bend over backward to accommodate my food issues. I had the half chicken with vegetables not cooked in dairy. They made me a simple salad without dairy. Have eaten at Perry's many times and always enjoy it.
You get a view of the Bay and some really great service, too. This is a wonderful, low stress restaurant with very good food and it's within walking distance of the Ferry Building and other iconic SF spots - all beautiful at night!
