To be clear, the staff are great but the way Philz has set up operations is horrible as you’ll be waiting for 10-20 mobile orders with absentee owners before they complete the one you ordered in person and are waiting for.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff that made the visit enjoyable. However, I was disappointed with the coffee, as it was lukewarm, which is not the quality I've come to expect from Philz. I hope this was just an off day because the experience didn't live up to their usual high standards.

People here are lovely and helped me find my perfect drip coffee. I had never been to Philz' and did not know what to order but the friendly barister helped me figure it out. Unfortunately - not by any fault of Philz' I ended up not liking my drink which was a dark roast with oat milk. I guess it's just not for me. Regardless if my taste, I love the place and you should try it too

Philz really figured out how to separate themselves from the oversaturated coffee market. 1 cup at a time is their motto and very unique offerings and absolutely delightful. The staff at Folsom and Beale are bright and cheerful no matter how busy.

Philz taste great, but very strong,! it's what I imagine doing a line of blow is like loI. I also like that the Baristas are city gritty, they make you a good coffee without all the over the top nonsense pleasantries, that I absolutely hate and don't want. Philz is SF when it was still a great city, pre tech boom pre- Karen and Darren boom.

I really wanted to be a regular, but it just sucks to walk in and drop $7 just to get the wrong order half the time. I've also never been to a cafe where the cashier literally stares at you like you're a bug for like 5 minutes before deciding to take your order. It's like a slap in the face when you're just trying to splurge and treat yourself after a rough day. How much I tip or what time of day I order seems to make no difference. I mean... no offense but I literally don't plan on going here again.

I'm always in for Philz to check out the hype, officially a fanboy and I'm hooked! This joint is super dope, yummy solid espresso, I am addicted to the Dark Roast Jacob's Wonderbar blend, phenomenal flavor and tones.. I'd even go to say one of the best I've had for sure. Best coffee in California, period.I also really dig the comfy, quirky, unique and chilled vibes and tones of this chain, it's really comforting, welcoming and a rad jam. The service is friendly and thet aste and flavor are on point.I've literally been in SF the past two days and already visited four individual Philz joints. Man this coffee joint is dope, I'm in love. Shut up and take my money! Gosh knows what goes into this, but you have to drink the hype trust me.
