Good spot and friendly people. Can’t complain about much but I feel for the staff as there seems to always be short staffing here especially compared to other locations like South SF. Also, it closes much earlier which confuses me for being on Ocean ave. Hope the employees have sufficient help and if not please get them more help…

Contrived.
There is nothing particularly wrong with this place.
It's a chain. Decent, I suppose.
To reiterate, however, contrived. Laminate surfaces, and that sort of thing, to create a certain visage. It's not real.

I have been here a couple times. The coffee was fine.

Really need to get on training. Wildly inconsistent. Sweet and creamy my arse guys. You didn’t add a drop of sugar. Some days it’s like an angel made my drink and other days it’s taste like a competitor infiltrated your staff making awful coffee on purpose to deter regulars.

The outside has frequent feces droppings, may be human. This would likely be remedied by having a key controlled public restroom which doesn’t require a purchase.

I ordered coffee, waited 15 minutes, specified that I drink it without sugar, in the end it turned out to be very sweet, threw it in the trash, undrinkable. They did not return the money or change it. I do not recommend

Classic Philz store with coffee ($$) but a great and comfy place to sit. It has wifi and an out-of-service bathroom. A good coffee joint as any.

Okay, nice location near CCSF, plenty of seating, but quite loud inside. Many students studying with noise cancelling headphones on because the acoustics amplify the baristas noise making drinks and smoothies in blenders.

The coffee and breakfast burrito was excellent. I prefer Philz over other coffee chains. Service was terrific, and the establishment was clean. Located next to CCSF, it's a great place to grab a hot drink before class.

Agreed with other reviews that the quality has slipped in recent years. They also used to support local vendors and now you see Sysco's name on everything. Plus their out of basic products (mint, oat milk, honey) very regularly. Missing the original Philz.

I love Phil’s and have been supporting them very often recently but the service is abysmal and the wait times are extremely high. I wait far less at local coffee shops where an espresso machine is used for each drink - how am I waiting 20+ min for cold brew which is premade? There are some huge issues with efficiency here… I’ll change my review to 5 stars when wait times decrease.
