Ambiance is nice and casual. Lots of seatings. Good for students to go there for studying or meeting friends for a nice cup of coffee. Nice hang out place.

I haven't been to Philz very much, so I wasn't sure what to order and this was my first time trying this drink. I originally wanted the regular Philtered Soul, but the cashier recommended the Philtered Soul Cold Brew instead! The cashier seemed very friendly and genuine and I really love someone who recommends drinks like this. The drink itself was very flavourful. I got a large and I finished it within just a couple minutes. I wanted to savour it while I did homework, but it was just too good. It has a very strong coffee and hazelnut taste. I normally wouldn't order hazelnut, but this drink sounded really interesting! It was really amazing! Philz has not yet to let me down. I love the location here as well and how its near CCSF and Riordan High School so that students can come here to study after school. The atmosphere is wonderful and they play good music.

I don't drink coffee, but Philz has some really delicious pastries. My favorite is their bacon & onion pretzel croissant. It's super delicious. It's nice and flaky. You could taste the buttery, bacon and not so over powering onion flavor. I would by a dozen if I could, but it's kinda pricy for a not so big croissant.

Waited in front of the register for 20 minutes, no one came to take my order, both the barista just looked at me and ignored me and didn't say anything, so much to customer service. Could not do mobile order because my phone was dead.

The coffee and breakfast burrito was excellent. I prefer Philz over other coffee chains. Service was terrific, and the establishment was clean. Located next to CCSF, it's a great place to grab a hot drink before class.

5/5 experience throughout. Wasn't that busy on a Sunday afternoon, coffee (iced Ambrosia house way) came out fantastic as always. Lots of space and outlets to do work, great music all around.

Agreed with other reviews that the quality has slipped in recent years. They also used to support local vendors and now you see Sysco's name on everything. Plus their out of basic products (mint, oat milk, honey) very regularly. Missing the original Philz.

I've been to this location several times - sometimes checking out with the cashier with an out-of-town friends, on the go with a mobile order, or picking up coffee beans as a souvenir for a visitor. The service consistently has been great and the vibes have been chill. It's a great place to catch up with friends or hunker down to get some work done on the laptop. Street parking hasn't been too difficult to find, and it's super easily accessible by public transit as well.

I love Phil’s and have been supporting them very often recently but the service is abysmal and the wait times are extremely high. I wait far less at local coffee shops where an espresso machine is used for each drink - how am I waiting 20+ min for cold brew which is premade? There are some huge issues with efficiency here… I’ll change my review to 5 stars when wait times decrease.

Customer service is poor. I am a patient person but I noticed everyone got their drinks before me even when I ordered mine ahead of time. I asked the guy who was making it when will my drink be ready since i noticed i am last and came in before them? He was being defensive and said, "that making cold drinks is faster than hot drinks". But I told him that there were other people who had hot drinks and got it before me. Then he tried to argue well we go with the flow how we make it. I said ok if that is how you work here. i was pretty much the last person to get my coffee when i came in earlier than other costumers. it is one thing when it is out if your control but when you know it was intentional that this guy did, than it is another story. The girl who was at the cashier was nice and asked if i wanted a refund for waiting. i just didn't want to deal with it anymore.

Philz is definitely one of my favorite spots to get coffee. My go-to is their iced mint mojito since I love anything mint flavored. Their iced gingersnap and the mocha tesora (warm) is really good too. This location has a bunch of seats to sit & enjoy your coffee. Service is friendly and sometimes tends to be a bit slower during the weekends.

People work there is not attentive to order details at all and my coffee was watered down. Taste like watered down coffee.
