I don’t really understand the bad reviews: fish is perfectly fried and crispy and the man working there was friendly. The fries are okay, but the fish shines. I was most disappointed by not realizing I needed to order tartar sauce (my fault though!)

Good quality Fish and Chips, I'm British so I know a good Chippy. The inside is a bit run down and shabby and you won't get good conversation with the owner unless you can speak Korean. But they serve good fish and chips, just as good as you'd get from a British Fish and chip shop. Don't ask for a Jumbo Battered Sausage as they don't do those exotic British foods. I was happy with the food and service.

I've been eating at this hole in the wall for 25 years before their move from Larkin Street. I expected much more on this visit than the paltry serving of chips I received. When I asked if this was all I was getting for what I paid, the server argued exactly why I was only getting a small portion. I remember he used to pile the chips high in a newspaper cone, ask how much salt and vinegar I wanted, and neatly fold the assemblage into a bag. This time he left the order on the counter, turned away, and grew silent. My heart breaks when an establishment loses its charm and the owner no longer cares how he treats his customers. This establishment now gives off a creepy, dwindling San Francisco vibe that lingers in the air long after you've left. It's like the end of a novel, really, where you realize that an era has passed and nothing that belongs to it exists anymore.

The recipe changed or they just stopped caring. Fish tastes like it's been frozen. So sad;

I really got vibes that the fish was frozen maybe. I don't remember this place like this. Either new ownership or the pandemic ruined the quality. Chips were fresh potatoes. I can tell. Those we're pretty good but not crunchy enough. I had to ask for all the condiments a la carte too. I'm comparing this to Cod mother in fisherman's warf or Camelot fish and chips in Pacifica. I would try again if the quality got better. Maybe

I have been coming to this place for 60 years. My father lived in England for a bit and swore the fish and chips were the same as London. They used to wrap the chips in newspaper and we would get food to go and eat at the marina. It has changed hands over the years and perhaps is not quite the same but we still keep coming back.

The food is very good. But I wish they would return tables and chairs inside so that people can eat inside there. When I get food to take out there, it's cold when I get home. It would be much nicer to eat there!

Extremely rude service when I walked in I wanted to walk out and I wish I did. The fish was very fishy and not in a good way, and dripping in grease that seemed to be over used. The fries were soggy even tho we ate our food as soon as it was served. The strange part was their tartar sauce was from a packet? This is a fish and chips place you think they would have actual tartar sauce. Very gross and the rude service gives them a zero star rating, sad because I live up the street and love fish and chips. However if you want great fish and chips try Rudies sports bar in 16th street!

I have been here a few times, the fried fish is ON POINT! One of the things to remember that they don't salt the fish for you, they have salt on the counter to salt per taste. Every time I go, I start eating the fish so fast it almost burns my mouth lol. I also ask for packets of tartar sauce and malt vinegar.

We were craving fish and chips and thought that there would be a place to sit down and enjoy them in Piccadilly's. To our disappointment, the service was take-out only. By the time we drove home, I was expecting the fish, onion rings, and fries to be soggy much like take-out tempura. The fish was good/crispy, the onion rings were crispy and the fries were a bit soggy due to being placed in the take-out box first. I might return whenI get a craving for fish and chip. The area of Polk where the place is located is very dodgy. it's been years since I've ventured down to the Polk area so I probably will look for alternatives in San Francisco next time I crave fish and chips.
