The pork belly Vietnamese sandwich was amazing. Anna and Tony were so kind, have run this family business for 30 years. She even brought me slices of watermelon while eating inside ?

They did not accept one of their older gift certificates when it is against California law to have an expiration on gift cards. Plus this certificate had no printed expiration date anyway. Unfortunate that a highly talked of place like this would act this way.

I stopped by for takeout after a visit to the nearby medical building. Very convenient with no crowd to fight with. I ordered the pork belly bahn mi which was indeed delicious. It was a good authentic representatation of a modern bahn mi, but the star of the show was their Vietnamese chicken soup. Similar to Arroz Caldo (Filipino chicken soup) I actually enjoyed this version much more (and I am Filipino LOL). Yes, I would hella come back just for this! Highly recommended low key spot.

A lovely neighborhood bistro run by incredibly nice and generous people. Their food is delicious and always fresh. Whether you're getting a sandwich, a salad or some spring rolls, you're going to have a good meal.
