Food here is always a hit. Never a miss. The staff is also super nice. Can't wait for them to open back up and try their entire menu!! Thanks again.

We felt like we were settling for whatever was open by coming here, but on the contrary we struck gold! The service was fantastic and the food was hot, fresh, and delicious!I'll definitely be back with an empty tummy :-)

Casual spot, which is doing things differently. Casual Mexican “pop-up” has been around about 2 years with inventive dishes such as the Szechuan senorita salad which I tried along with burros and designer tacos. The portion size was excellent and I enjoyed the playful combination of Szechuan and Mexican spices. Would order again.

Shrimp tacos are fantastic!

A huge disappointment! I came here for lunch, expecting good quality tacos based on the reviews, but got oversalted, soggy tacos instead. 1. Cashier - no smiles, dour expression. Lady ahead of me was fussing with her order endlessly, asking for explanations on every item while 2 people were in line. Finally, she canceled her order so she could 'think'. Cashier said and did nothing to speed things up. 2. Most of the tacos were priced at $7 each!!! This is triple what tacos cost outside SF, and almost double the SF cost of $3.50 - $4. So ordered 2 Carne (Beef) tacos. These are typically with grilled beef sizzling hot from the grill. Instead, I got two soggy tacos with some kind of oversalted beef mush on them, tasteless and awful. Some nondescript greens sprinkled over them. The thick flour tortillas were soft and soggy. The salt was overbearing and at heart attack levels. Do not order the $4 tiny soggy indeterminate tacos. And do not pay $7 for any other taco or you enable the prices to keep rising without limit. 3. Requested some salsa. Cashier (there was no server) pointed to the yellow ketchup type bottles and said, "Hot sauce". I asked for green salsa. She said it was piquante and wanted to make sure I understood that. I had to ask her 3 times for sauce before one tiny plastic container was included in my takeout. One only. This was rationed apparently. No fresh red salsa, no blackened tomato salsa, no avocado salsa, nothing. 4. The place was empty. No diners, no servers, and a cashier with a dour poker face expression. 5. This is a Mexican place serving solely Mexican food. Why is everything black, and the color of death? This is not a nightclub, or a trendy bistro. Even Starbucks does not use black. Grim and depressing, and these walls hide dirt in a restaurant. Bad on every level. Tiny place, and all black like a dungeon. 6. I asked for a plastic bag since I rode my bike and the paper carton would leak through with that soggy beef. No bag available. Only another paper bag. So stuff leaked through. Of course. I've eaten at many tiny family owned places that would put this place to shame. Absolutely no excuse for this level of poor quality food, horrible décor, high prices, and dour, inefficient service. I'd rather go hungry than eat here again, yuck!

What an interesting spot. A bit off the beaten path but worth a drive by. The quesadilla with Doritos was certainly interesting .. eat it quickly while they are still crispy. The sandwich was tasty as well

This is hands down one of my favorite places in San Francisco to have Authentic Mexican food. Love their el burro bowls and the meats are flavorful. Also love the slight twist they did with the thai prawns tacos and are definitely worth trying! Burpometer : 8.5/10

I'll start off by saying the flavors were generally really good. I got two tacos; Thai shrimp ($7) and slow roasted carnitas ($4). The Thai shrimp was good, but definitely not worth $7. It was basically all sauce, so I felt like I was eating soup of of a tortilla. The carnitas taco was way better; it came with a lot of meat, but was SOAKED in grease. It was actually pretty unappetizing when I looked down at my grease covered plate. I also got chips and salsa ($2), which came with a good amount of chips, but they were so bland. Also, it's way too dark inside; I felt like I was in a cave.

The ahi tacos and shrimp tacos are to die for...the shrimp tacos in particular was so good, made wing meaty plump shrimp and grilled just right. The Doritos with beef could easily feed two. I only wish that this place was open a bit later...

Was really in the mood for Mexican and decided to finally check this place out, since it's a few blocks from my office. Cute interior with a bar, shared seating, order at the register deal. I ordered the super burro bowl (adds guac and sour cream) and my friend got the frito taco salad with braised chuck, and we got some chips and salsa to share. The food was great-- my burrito bowl was piled high with lettuce, rice, beans, delicious grilled onions, salsa and cheese. The shrimp portion was super generous and a great deal at $13 for the extra toppings and protein. Deceptively large portion so ended up having to take some to go. My friend seemed to really enjoy her meal as well and we also had leftovers. My only concern was the time that it took to order-- there was a long line when we got in that took a while to get through. The young woman taking orders was super nice but it may have been her first day so it was a little difficult to order some things. Know that everyone has days like that and would not defer me from coming back, just want to warn in case anyone going is on a time crunch. Overall, great food at a great price!

Really tasty tacos! Excellent value for the food, which was fantastic. Food came out quickly and was straight off the grill. Real, juicy meat and fresh veggies and guac in the tacos. Staff were extremely friendly and paid careful attention to cleaning tables--even let me charge my phone behind the counter.

Great food and friendly atmosphere

The two of us liked what we ordered... a carnitas breakfast burrito, two tacos - spicy tuna and chicken, and a horchata. Seating is somewhat limited, but fortunately we snagged a table. Pricing and portions seem fair.
