I saw one of the waitresses handling food with her bare hand (toast that came out) after taking payment, taking an order, and wiping down a surface with a rag.
That should never be done.

My wife and I came to eat a late dinner at the Pinecrest Diner after seeing a show. I had belgian waffles with chocolate chips and fresh strawberries. My wife had a bacon hamburger with fries on the side. Both were delicious, we especially liked the burger, which had a nice toasted bun and an even amount of bacon. The service was very fast and friendly.

It is the typical diner experience not enough space but quick turnaround and amazing food open twenty four hours. A great little spot will always come here

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The place looked extremely dirty — the tables were sticky, the floor had trash, and it didn’t seem like anything was properly cleaned. On top of that, the food made me feel sick shortly after eating. To make things worse, it was very overpriced for the quality you get. Cleanliness, food safety, and fair pricing should be the bare minimum. I would definitely not recommend this place.

We waited for a table, no problem. Once seated, it took over 30 mins for someone to take our order. We saw three other tables get seated, order burgers, eat, pay their bills and leave BEFORE we got our BLT and turkey sandwiches, which would not have taken as long to prepare as a burger?!? We had to ask four times for our bill then our server stopped by and says he will check on our food. Ummmm, no....you missed that! We just need to pay our bill so we can leave. I WOULD STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE AND WOULD NEVER GO BACK!!! Food was medicore at best and service was HORRIBLE! If visiting San Francisco, go anywhere but here! I would give NO STARS if I could!
