Had breakfast here every day, enough food to set you up until dinner time,
Great friendly staff, tasty and filling meals
Great atmosphere, mixed crowd of tourists and locals.

Highly dependent on staff. Walked in with three empty tables and nobody waiting and “couldnt be seated” unless I took the bar stool, which I can’t fit in I’m 6’5”. Clown of a establishment on a Monday night with no crowd. Avoid!
Cocobang didn't want to serve us at 1 am so when ended up here. SO HAPPY it happened. BEST biscuits and gravy Ive ever had 🙌

Wonderful service and a friendly atmosphere. An excellent burger too - adding grilled onions is a must!

Pinecrest Diner is the perfect stop for an after theater meal. Throwback diner that is classic San Francisco. Had delicious dessert (chocolate cake and diner sundae) and enjoyed the bustling ambiance of what I hope is always a part of the downtown SF scene. Friendly staff. A great part of the perfect day in the city.

Simply terrible...
Very unfriendly waiters who, to make matters worse, tried to cheat on tips.
The quality of the food was rather mediocre; the pancakes had the consistency of a leather rag.
The restrooms were very dirty. My friend asked me to go back to the hotel for 15 minutes because otherwise she'd catch some disease.

This little dinner is a must do when I Dan Francisco. There is nothing little about the portions you get. It's a must for comfort food.

Breakfast and service was good although nothing special.
The old fashion dinner vibe makes the trick to be attractive.

It was a go-to spot while visiting San Francisco. The wait wasn't long, the food was good, and the staff was friendly and it's open 24hours Thursday through Saturday. I got just dessert one day, the next I ordered the hangover with over easy eggs pictured below. It hit the spot! Definitely coming back when I visit.

Love this little gem in the bustling city of San Francisco! The service was amazing. The food was so tasty, with BIG portions! And the restaurant is very clean...This will be a breakfast stop the next 3 days!

Our server was charming but the food was God awful. I ordered super nachos, my mate ordered corned beef hash. The nachos were unidentifiable as nachos. It looked like a bowl of cheesy soup with ground beef. If there were other ingredients in the bowl, I couldn't tell. There were 3 visible chips and even those you couldn't use to scoop up anything because they were so soggy. I've never seen nachos before you would have to eat with a spoon. They were disgusting.
My mates corned beef hash arrived at the table burnt. When he mentioned this to the waiter, he was told they always serve it like this, but he and and had it remade. The toast was soggy, the corn beef bland (but not burnt this time), the hash browns- meh. It was the worst dining experience we've had in our 4 years together. And, as it was almost 2 am, there was nothing left open and I went to bed hungry.
Do not eat here.
