A really good smash burger. Definitely one of the best I've had in SF. Their fries and ketchup also hit the spot too. A nice clean environment.

Matt and Natalie were amazing behind the bar! So hospitable, kind, informative of all my questions, and experts at what they do. I had an amazing martini by Matt. Not only is this hotel an experience in itself, but Matt and Nat make it something worthwhile. They are so kind and phenomenal bartenders!

We hit up PLS on Post last night primarily because of its prime location near the venue where we were catching a show. It's got a fun, lively vibe -think counter-service burger joint meets full bar. Service was quick and friendly.

My burger was, in a word, messy (definitely a knife-and-fork situation), but undeniably delicious. The patty itself was incredibly flavorful, and added bacon which was tasty, good quality, and perfectly cooked. I'd happily go back just for the burger!

However, the fries were a letdown. Floppy and bordering on soggy, they just didn't live up to the deliciousness of the burger. We were really looking forward to trying their incredible-sounding shakes, only to find out they were out of ice cream. Bummer!

The menu is pretty limited to just burgers, so don't expect a ton of variety. Overall, PLS on Post is a decent choice for a solid burger if you're in the area, even with the disappointing sides and lack of shakes. I'm rounding my 3.5-star experience up to 4 stars based on that stellar burger.

Me and my wife stopped by PLS on Post on the last day of our little getaway in the city. It was a quiet Wednesday night with only a few other people there, which made it feel relaxed and low key. The service was quick, and the staff was friendly but kept to themselves, which we didn’t mind. The atmosphere was clean and chill TV on, comfy vibe. Feels like the kind of spot where you can grab a good burger and a beer without the fuss. The burgers were pretty solid I'd say better than average and prices weren’t bad at all for being in the city. Definitely a nice little spot to stop at if you’re in the area.

I come here once a week. I get the classic smash burger. It’s my favorite in the city. Music is always good. I will continue to go as long as I live in sf.

Really good smash burgers and a solid beer/cocktail list. Good deal on the combo as well. Will come back to try other burgers in addition to the milkshakes which look bomb

Pls on post used to be my go to burger spot. The potato rolls were special, especially as someone who’s from the east coast. The burgers were juicy despite being smashed and the fries were crisp. On 12/12 however none of this rings true. The bun is generic, the patty was thick and somehow still dry and the fries were flimsy and mushy. What once was a really special burger spot has become no better than generic pub food. Will not be returning for the foreseeable future.

What happened to this place?
They used to care, amazing food, amazing service, high quality for the price too. Also artsy in a god way.

Now it’s a new staff. Downgraded food, with terrible atmosphere, taking down human paintings for an AI print. Dry meat. Tasteless fries. And staff that screams on their face that they wanna go home.

Burgers came out COLD ? really wanted to love this place but thoroughly disappointed with the slow service & cold burgers/fries. Was really rooting for this place but walk on by if you’re in the area ?

~$20 per burger, not worth

My wife and I spontaneously went to PLS at 8:30 p.m. (Wednesday) and ordered a “The Supreme” shake and a “Blue Cheese Smash” burger.

Unfortunately there wasn't much going on, which was good for us. I don't think we waited 10 minutes for our food.

The shake was planned for my wife and the burger for me. The staff was so nice and arranged everything so that we got two spoons, two straws and the burger to share - really great.

Both the shake and the burger were great. If today wasn't our last evening in SF, we would go straight back ?!

The restaurant was clean and new.

Unfortunately I can't give more than 5 stars.
