I liked the jambalaya and the po boy sandwich out of the three dishes I ordered from this place.

Definitely one of the best creole restaurants in the bay, and probably the best one in SF in my opinion. The selection was great, I couldn’t decide what to order so I ordered everything: fried chicken plate with collard greens & mashed potatoes, chicken sandwich, soft shell crab, fried okra, and mini cornbread. The breading on everything fried was light and flavorful. I was esp surprised by how large the portion of soft shell crab, there was 3 per order! Collard greens were juicy, chicken tender, I’m already excited to go back again to try their other dishes!

Food had no flavor whatsoever…. Felt like I ate a whitewashed, gentrified poboy sandwich. Won’t be back.

Found this little gem by chance and am very happy to have found a reasonably priced quality comfort food spot. Went with friends and everyone was beyond pleased. Cozy, friendly and satisfying.

I really liked the crispy fish and chips, and the dessert with coffee was an amazing way to finish the afternoon.

Food here was great and the customer service was even better! I opted for the chicken & andouille sausage jambalaya with a side of garlic bread which was delicious and full of big chunks of chicken. The garlic bread was light, full of flavor and the swamp water ice tea was refreshing. The young lady that took care of me was very attentive and exceptionally nice. The atmosphere was really peaceful and pleasant in a nice neighborhood.

Poboys serves up Cajun soul food in a quaint and cozy, colorful restaurant in Potrero Hill. A warm welcome greeted me as I entered, and I sat down at one of their colorful tables surrounded by pops of color, and the aromas of deliciousness. I can’t go to a soul food restaurant without ordering okra, so I got that, and boy was I pleased. These tasty little crunchy morsels came with a side of jalapeño aioli, and I don’t normally like aioli, but this one was a hit. Next I opted for the fried chicken plate with mashed potatoes and gravy and collard greens. Whatever they batter that chicken with should be patented, it’s seriously good. The whole meal came out hot and flavorful. It’s a big plate of food so I could have split all this with another person and been satisfied. Now I have another meal to look forward to at home. Check out this spot and enjoy yourself a delicious meal.

The fried chicken combo was great and I’ve learned I love collards. Also, the lighting in my picture was amazing and the reason I wanted to review.
