The sandwiches and coffee are top notch!Wheelchair accessibility: The inside is a little cramped for a wheelchair but it can work. The entrance and seating is great for wheelchairs however the sidewalk out front is harder to deal with sometimes.

I only got a latte which was amazing but I found this spot right as I was walking around the castro and I literally have no notes. It's tucked away and its so cute and theres so much ample space. The pastry shelf looks literally BEAUTIFUL and everyone is so nice. They also have free wifi so like!!! Could camp out here forever

If you are a bakery lover and haven't been to poesia yet, go immediately. They have an amazing selection of beautiful and delicious pastries, sandwiches and cakes every day. I love that they have the traditional options, but also creative flavors. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space.

Great new Cafe in the Castro next to the original Poesia. Poesia Cafe offers delicious array of breakfast and lunch salads and sandwiches, as well as Italian coffee and soft drinks. The sandwiches and salads are fresh and made to order. A great place to people watch too. A must try!!

What an incredible little gem of an Italian cafe and bakery; the pastries are incredible -- laminated to perfection with amazing flavors like ricotta & tomato, and salmon-avocado, on top of classics like croissant and tart. Great Illy / Euro-cafe vibes. What a welcome addition to the neighborhood!

TLDR: croissants were decent but not amazing, service was friendly and atmosphere is lovelyWe got the cheese and prosciutto but they mean it in literal Italian meaning just ham, not the smoked meat that most in US think prosciutto to be. The raspberry pistachio needed a bit more filling of raspberry in the middle, the croissant wasn’t flaky enough for my liking.

The pastry here looks pretty and tempting Tried the Nutella Croissant, 5/5, crispy crust, and generous filling. It's a bit on the dense side, which is how I like it. A little bit pricey, $5.4 for a Croissant, but it is SF and it is Castro, everything is overpriced here. Local business got to survive, too. Will come back to try more pastries in the future and update photos and my review as it goes. I would love to try the Apple Danish, Chocolate Croissant and Almond Croissant next.

First of all, they were tiny flies that were hovering on and around the pastries, which I think is disgusting. I wanted to leave right when I saw that, but we were already here and might as well at least try some things. We tried the raisin danish and the vanilla custard croissant. Both were nothing to write home about and completely forgettable. I was so surprised with all of the positive reviews. I do not think we will return here.

So glad they opened this cafe! Their restaurant above is one of my favorites, but this take on faster fare is just as delicious. Great coffee & tea, sandwiches, egg dishes, and more. Lots of seating options from a big parklet to cute cafe tables on the sidewalk to lots of tables & benches inside. I plan all my "let's get coffee" business meetings here.

Serving tea only in single-use plastic cups and extremely rude service.

Cute place with great service. I tried a Chai latte for the 1st time. Quite mild. Need to come back for their pastries as they look good

I am Italian, born and raised, and I found their food to be really authentic. The ambiance is warm and unique. We will definitely be back.
