Grew up eating Polly Ann, super quick service. There is limited seating inside and outside. The place is super bright and open. They have a wheel that can help you pick a flavor :) I got a scoop of matcha and a scoop of black sesame. If you like Chinese black sesame dessert, definitely try the black sesame.

Polly Ann is known for their eclectic whimsical flavors can be found in Sunset near Ocean Beach. It is a cute charming little ice cream shop since 1955. I would have loved to be around when this opened for 5 cent single ice cream scoops. A huge bonus was letting you sample as many as you want. This wasn't an easy task because I'm so indecisive! Luckily there is a wheel to spin for these folks until I realized I knew what I wanted. I find their ice cream to be smooth and creamy. Nice! Slightly soft yet not too melty nor icy. Awesome! I tried their recommended lychee ice cream and it tastes identical to the fruit itself - too good as it sounds. Jasmine Tea has a nice roasted tea flavour. It was lovely and my tummy thanked me for it. I'm a matcha snob and surprisingly, their matcha ice cream did not disappoint! Their tea flavours pack a strong punch with each bite. What a treat! :-)

I got the dairy-free cookies and cream in a cup as well as one of their brownies on the side and both were so good. My friend and I went to this place for dessert to get to-go and walk to Ocean Beach. We were both surprised at how delicious their desserts were. I do however wish they had more dairy-free options.

Polly Ann Ice Cream is an absolute delight! The flavors are beyond amazing. The welcoming environment and friendly staff make it my favorite place to savor delicious ice cream. The cookies and brownies are also irresistibly delicious. It's the perfect spot to create memories with family and friends.
BEST chocolate chip cookie I've literally EVER tasted. Their chocolate chip cookie will have you tellin yo momma to take notes. I'm tellin ya. BEST yet. Ice cream was mediocre nothing special but overall a nice treat and somewhat of a good menu selection as far as options on sundaes and other sweets

Creative ones like Red Panda (strawberry sauce and chocolate), exotic ones like taro and macapuno, and favorites like several kinds of chocolate.The staff is super friendly and generous with the free samples.Not a lot of indoor nor outdoor seating, but you can walk through the Sunset with your cube or cup.

Wow! I don't ever write reviews, but this place deserves it.Where to start? I used to live right next to this place as a kid and it's just as charming as I remember. The menu is HUGE I mean there were some crazy flavors and the guy who was working there was kind and patient while I tried every flavor LOL. The place was clean and the flavor I ended up getting, strawberry marble, was great.The service was 10/10, albeit the guy working was a bit slow. But I can't blame him because I feel like I sampled the whole menu.Definitely will be bringing my family.

Ice cream is great, so what's the problem here ? Why not a fifth star ? I entered Polly Ann's ice cream this afternoon to find a woman in front of me who had plopped her baby on the counter, while she fished her money out to pay for and then receive the ice cream she ordered. Seems to me that the counter where food is being served should be free of the touch any body's bottom . When I mentioned my observation to the young clerk I was met with stunned silence followed by , "I thought she was holding her." A healthy food environment is imperative . Polly Ann Ice Cream needs to make sure their product is not only delicious but served in a safe manner.
