My friends and I have been wanting to come here for a while and we finally made it. Took advantage of their HH and got one of everything from that menu. Our favorite dish was the oysters and also the mussels which we kept ordering over and over. Deviled eggs and popcorn shrimp were okay, but the cod tacos were just ehh. One of the employees was super nice while others weren't as much. Overall it was okay and we may go back.

Something felt off tonight. The lighting was bad and the mood was off and food not quite as good as I remembered in the past. The music went off early and made the ambiance feel uncomfortable.

The sauce of the cioppino was really tasty and good. The soft shell crab sandwich was perfect. And the Clams as appetizer left me wanting for more. This restaurant is on my list of go back to over and over.

A neighborhood gem! My mom (also Yelp Elite)'s birthday fell on Father's Day this year so I had to pick the restaurant to celebrate. I sent her a few places, and she vetoed them all (she has a lot of allergies.) Exasperatedly, I asked her to pick a place then--and she picked Popi's, which she'd read about in SF Eater. I made a reservation (I felt lucky to be able to!) the week of. We sat outside in their parklet and right from the get-go, it was a great experience. Great service (including one of the owners/partners who came out!) and they were accommodating of my mom's allergies (instead of a crab roll on a brioche bun, she had a hamburger bun). I shared it with her and devoured it--there wasn't too much mayo, and the fries were also very good. My dad really liked his burger, but my mom really loved my brother's Crab Louie Salad the most. It had lots of crab! They didn't need to give that much! We started off with the calamari which wasn't greasy and was very flavorful, as well as the $91 Popi platter which had 4 clams, 4 shrimp, 12 oysters (chef's choice), and yummy crisps they made hot to accompany delicious smoked trout dip with trout roe. Can not rave about this enough! They have a nice variety of drinks as well. We all had a wonderful time and will all be back (maybe for happy hour which looks pretty good!)

Quaint, smaller establishment, over the top quality hot spot! Great staff, Oysters, Salad. A must do "Experience!" And now a Regular new Lunch-Dinner place on our calendar!

Quiet place with a small but fine menue, Oysters were very fresh with one of the best vinegrett for a long time. Friendly staff.

We popped in for a late lunch on Saturday, we were seated quickly without a reservation and there was 6 of us. We were really looking forward to the fish and chips. My mom got the first order and hers looked great, the other 2 orders were not so great, we were given the tail end of the fish with hardly any white fish just skin and batter and more fries that anything else. The tartare sauce had a rancid taste to it ,so disappointing. I would usually complain but we had the kids and didn't feel like causing a stir on that day. The owner seemed friendly and walked around to check in on the other 2 tables , he seemed chatty and brought the table next to us some hot sauce but never checked on our table, being the biggest inside the restaurant, seemed odd to me ! I thought it was incredibly overpriced for what it was. Maybe we will try the oysters next time!

Excellent seafood and lots of options. The Big Popi was a great sampler for 2. Great selection without being overwhelming. Service was so fun and enjoyable. It felt like they were slightly understaffed for front of house even for a small restaurant but still a lovely experience and I'll be back

We were charged for a whole extra fries when we ordered fries instead of salad with a dish. The halibut was undercooked and flavorless, the Baja tacos were over fried and also lacked flavor.

When I asked about the mistake the fries, the waitress just looked at me and charged me for them anyways. Not worth $75 for a bad lunch.

Best clam chowder, ever? I think it might be. A bowl of chowder plus a half dozen oysters was a perfect weeknight of food. Great vibe, great service, great food. Highly recommended.

Great food and ambiance! Outdoor seating had heaters available. Good selection of oysters and the Manila clams dish was so filling and tasty with the white wine broth, plus beans, spicy sausage and bread. The blackbird app promo deal for the oysters was good (essentially 12 for price of 6) but then the app itself was weird and set the tip without an obvious option to adjust it - but more of an app issue although would have been nice for a heads up since it was a super high tip on the total including tax

Had a wonderful experience at this restaurant tonight! The service was amazing; warm, attentive, and genuine. One of the owners was especially kind and offered fantastic recommendations that really elevated the experience. I’ll definitely be coming back! Thank you!
