I was in San Francisco towards the end of June 2024 with my partner for our 20th anniversary and we spent quite a bit of time in The Castro and had a bite to eat here one afternoon. The bagels are delicious and fresh. Would recommend.

Straightforward bagels (with all the toppings) and bagel-based breakfast sandwiches.For anyone familiar with New York or Montreal style, these bagels are fluffier with more of a chew than crunch — something unfortunately common in California.

This being one of the few breakfast options on Castro I decided to try it. I ordered the Lox sandwich because I’ve been craving a lox bagel. I got it with the jalapeño bagel and I liked the bagel part but with so many cucumbers and tomatoes in between it was messy and fell apart easily, I would’ve preferred less veggies and a little more salmon. For $14s I was disappointed. If I ever go back I’ll just get a bagel with spread.
