I love PPQ but not only for the prices but for the overall health of the crabs and clientele those tanks need cleaning daily. It is definitely not only unsavory but gross.

Always one of my favorite crab house place. Their crab garlic noodles is no joke. But if you don't feel like crab, the salted egg prawns is huge and flavorful. 10/10 recommend.

Great food all around. A bit on the expensive side. Though most items appear they would be more of a family size portion to share.
Crab was great and garlicky. Well cooked.
Cajun shrimp are not too spicy though you’re going to get your hands dirty with them.
String beans were the sleeper item and turned out to be one of the best beans I’ve ever eaten. Highly recommend!

Extremely expensive for what you get. The crab was tasty, as well as the garlic noodles. But the bill hurt. Other restaurants in SF provide similar quality for dungeness meals at lower cost, with better atmosphere. I think if their prices were more reasonable and they worked on ambience — this would be a top restaurant in the area

Dungeness crab in a garlic butter sauce was delicious. The side of noodles was flavoursome although slight overcooked. The goi salad was fresh but needed more flavour. Salt and pepper calamari was good crispy texture. Decor is very outdated.

When in SF a must visit. The crabs are fresh and well prepared. I recommend the garlic noodles , garlic peppercorn crab, garlic butter crab and curry crab. Be prepared to get your hands dirty to get every bit of crab meat out. You get a bib to keep your clothes clean.
This is a great place for a large groups. They have two floors.
John the owner is very friendly and staff attentive.
