Lives up to the name! Loved all the plants inside and enjoyed the Halloween decorations. Drinks were amazing as well. If you like yuzu, Summon The Revival is your drink!

Went here with friends and was treated incredibly poorly. The bouncer was performing theatrics outside to make the place look busy, which was already off-putting. Inside, after ordering $100 in drinks, a clearly drunk girl blocked the bar and put her hand over my drink — completely inappropriate. When I politely asked her to move, her friend accused me of having “bad energy” and complained to staff, who wouldn’t even let me explain. Lots of fake smiles and no respect. I left without a scene, but I won’t be back — and I’ll be telling others to skip this place too.

As a big plant lover, I really wanted to love Propagation — the greenery-filled concept is adorable. But the vibe missed for me. The music was loud and not great, the lighting felt way too dark, and my drink just didn’t hit (especially for $16). Cute idea, but the experience didn’t live up to the aesthetics.

Great drinks, great vibe. The bartenders are 10/10, taking care of multiple guests at a time without breaking a sweat and all with a great attitude. Cigars After Sex was our favorite drink of the night, but you really want go wrong. Even on a busy night, it's definitely worth a visit!

Cute place and atmosphere, drinks weren’t incredible, but the thing that spoiled it all is the “recommended” tips for 20% and up going off of the added “credit card surcharge” and sales tax. Why would we tip on the bar’s extra charges and tax? Very deceptive and disappointing and has become all too common in SF.

Half their plants are dead or infested. Bartender ignored me and my wife for over 20min. Dude wasn’t even busy. There were 3 couples besides us in the entire place. Dude couldn’t even say “hey I’ll be with you in a minute”. Quite rude staff. Nice drinks but plenty of other options around to support.
Easily one of my favorite bars. Low light, lots of real plants surrounding you, and what sounded like a custom set list of remixes playing over the nice sound system. We were able to snag a couch and had a great time!

Propagation SF is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed into a beautifully curated space that strikes the perfect balance between cozy and modern.
The mocktails here are next level. Creative, complex, and thoughtfully crafted, they’re so good you don’t miss the alcohol for a second. I especially loved the “Call me when it’s over.”
The service deserves its own shoutout. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. The staff took time to explain the menu and made sure we felt well taken care of throughout the night.
If you’re looking for a place to unwind, catch up with friends, or just treat yourself to something delicious in a welcoming environment, Propagation SF is it. Can’t wait to come back!
