Overall not a bad standby choice, but only because there's nothing more special in the area. I keep going because I think I'll have a different experience, but I don't. Not a huge fan of the taste of their drinks, and they take forever. I'll order ahead and the estimated pickup is 20 minutes later, which is fine. But sometimes I'm still waiting 5-10 minutes after that, which is less fine. I loved the Purple Kow next to Berkeley campus way back when, but...
The boba isn’t great and the light fixtures are caked with dust.

Love this place but will only visit on rare occasions because it's so good I dont want to get used to it. Secondly, it's very rich and very high in calories.
Dietary restrictions: Good luck. It's NOT low calorie
Parking: Balboa is super busy and very difficult to find parking. Especially on the weekends.
